According to Nate's twitter, I was reading this on Yahoo, he will discuss the situation sometime Tuesday. My thoughts are now this, it is something trivial that he had time to take care of and didn't. The UFC gave him a headliner, welterweight debut, and Spike ran the Marquardt marathon then he doesn't clear meds f'ing the UFC a day before the event, scrapping a headliner and running a marathon for a guy now not fighting and that pissed Dana off! Hopefully he will disclose it. I have always like Marquardt and hope the best for him, we shall see.

Well here is our awnser. http://mmajunkie.com/news/24189/nate-marquardt-blames-testosterone-replacement-therapy-for-ufc-on-versus-4-scratch.mma
As for being cut it looks like it was more personal from Dana then anything else. This is basically the same thing Sonnen did. Dana has never liked Nate and used this as an excuse to cut him. Dana can say whatever he wants but two fighters did basically the same thing and one got cut the other gets to keep fighting. I love Dana White but he needs to keep his personal feelings out of business.

Sonnen is a draw, has come closest to beating the current #1 p4p fighter in the world, and works like hell to promote any fight he's in. Marquardt has the promotional abilities of a doorknob, and will never be a legit top 3 guy, whether at MW or WW. Of course the person who makes you more money will be given more leeway, it's the same in any business.
Marquardt cheated(lol at anyone who believes the excuses) then lied about his ablity to handle it, costing Dana a ton of money that he spent promoting Nate as a main event. I'd be pissed too.

Yeah but dana cant come out and act like what he did was the end of the world while another fighter did the same thing without much punishment from the ufc.

If it's a privately-owned company that he's a big part of, he can. Might not be "right", but he can. Take, for example, a couple years ago, the season of TUF that Amir won over Dollaway. That Jesse dude who was supposed to be in the finals got fired for making a drunken scene. Then brought back and fired again after losing to Dollaway, supposedly for complaining about a double standard. While Rampage has always had a home in the UFC even though he had an incident around that time for a hit-and-run and then blew off the UFC because he decided to be a movie star (he might have been the "double-standard" Jesse was complaining about).
Or how a low-talent guy like Junie Browning got a handful of fights (including at least one on the main card) because he creates controversy, while more skilled also-rans from TUF seasons struggle to get a foot in the door.
People can complain about how one guy was treated over another, but what's the difference between this and, say, us bitching about Goodell's inconsistencies in fines and suspensions in the NFL?
