I think Soti/Lauzon will be the fight of the night.

Is there anyone who thinks that when the UFC goes overseas the judgeing is bad. I think its mainly due to the fact that europeans dont now how to score wrestling. There was also one judge who scored a fight 30-28. How do you give a 10-10 round. I also dont know how anyone can not give marquart a round in his fight.

I don't see any fights that had a 30-28 score... Two judges gave Marquardt a round on their card and one judge had it 3-0 for Okami.sportchampps;558936 wrote:There was also one judge who scored a fight 30-28. How do you give a 10-10 round. I'd have to go look it up, but he is right, one round in the fight was scored 30-28, unless Buffer read it wrong. Buffer most definitely said 30-28. I only remember it because I said the same thing "how in the world do you get 30-28?"

Not sure why we're discussing this but fwiw, on UFC 122, these were the following scorecards from the entire night:
30-27, 30-27, 30-27
28-29, 29-28, 29-28
30-27, 30-27, 30-27
30-27, 30-27, 30-27
30-27, 29-28, 29-28
What we need to be talking about is how bad the overseas cards are getting to be. Marquardt-Okami as a main event. Hell, even Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson at UFC 93 was better. Remember when they actually unified the UFC Light Heavyweight and Pride titles in London?

I agree with that. The main events of overseas cards tend to be one of two things: two guys fighting for a potential future title shot OR Bisping and his ever-so-exciting style of using his length to stay away from his opponent and out-jab them.

You kidding me? Having an UFC event alongside the Arnold Classic makes too much sense.

Agree. They really don't put on big cards in England/Ireland. They had a pretty good card in Australia and of course, in Abu Dhabi.Heretic;564221 wrote:I agree with that. Recent overseas main events:

UFC 120 - Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama; Dan Hardy, Cheick Kongo
UFC 112 - Anderson Silva vs. Demian Maia for Middleweight Title; B.J. Penn vs. Frankie Edgar for Lightweight title; Matt Hughes
UFC 110 - Antonio Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez, Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping; Joe Stevenson, Ryan Bader, Mirko Cro Cop
UFC 99 - Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva; Cain Velasquez, Mirko Crop Cop, Caol Uno
UFC 95 - Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Stevenson; Dan Hardy, Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen, Josh Koscheck

Yeah, there was no UFC in March last year either, they had a WEC.
I went to all 3 UFCs in Columbus, but I know last year was a WEC, not a UFC.

UFC this weekend cant wait, gonna be a damn good card. But the main event I have a bad feeling about already, Machida is gonna dance around the entire fight like he always does, makes for lots of boos and a boring main event usually

Id take GSP and Silva P4P before Machida. Machida is good, and i get his strategy, it just makes for boring fights when hes fleeing the whole time IMO. I know its part of the sport before 3 people tell me this.
