I've already said Lesnar will have one fight... Velasquez will have one fight... and then ASSUMING they both win... they will meet up for a rematch. Book it.

WEC 53 - December 16th on Versus from Glendale, Arizona
Ben Henderson (c) vs. Anthony Pettis for Lightweight Title
Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Scott Jorgensen for Bantamweight Title
Donald Cerrone vs. Chris Horodecki
That is going to be another great WEC card.
Big fan of Jorgensen

My thoughts as well, maybe even Fox but they haven't hinted for a long time at a shot a major network deal.sportchampps;535402 wrote:im guessing they signed with cbs or abc

It's either a big name fighter signing or they're expanding to a new market. Germany, France, or Mexico would be the most likely I think.

Mexico would make sense with a mexican heavyweight champ and why they were promoting him that way b4 the fight

Some people are talking that Dana will AGAIN announce they are negotiating a contract with a network. I could see an expansion into Mexico (Velasquez/JDS title fight near Cinco de Mayo in Mexico City, anyone?)
Also, Patrick Cote was released from the UFC.

If they were to sign with a network, it would probablly be NBC-Comcast. Since Comcast owns VS and the UFC has been on there in the past.
Also, I read a rumour that Tim Sylvia might be coming back to the UFC.

I thought maybe ABC/ESPN because ESPN already has an MMA live show every late Thursday night. ABC/ESPN lost hockey and show only one or two baseball games a week during the regular season (and no playoff coverage).The_Crosby_Show;535763 wrote:If they were to sign with a network, it would probablly be NBC-Comcast. I just re-watched the Lesnar fight and I noticed something. Brock got popped pretty bad in the back of the head.

To be honest, Cinco de Mayo is a bigger "holiday" (read reason to drink) in the US than it is in Mexico. Most Mexican's don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo. For those that assume it is, Cinco de Mayo is NOT Mexico's independence day.

I can't watch it now, but seeing the fight live I'd imagine it was when Brock was turning and running.

Not surprised by this but I like it. UFC now has all the weights to showcase all the best. Hopefully they continue to put on free shows on VS and or Spike or even a network deal which has been hinted at several times.
