that was a grear card. Maynard has 0 chance against BJ. Mir looked good. The first fight was really fun to watch.

BJ's natural ability is pretty much unmatched. As as been noted many times, this is a man who won a BJJ world championship in the black belt division after studying BJJ for just 3 years. BJ is an amazing fighter, and is definitely in the top 5 p4p. I personally would put him at number 4 right now (behind Anderson Silva, GSP, and Fedor in no particular order).

I wouldn't really say 0% chance, slim chance yes. But thats what's great about MMA, all it takes is one punch or one kick and it can be all over. Who really thought Sera had a chance against GSP?
Also, I love the guy but is Clay Guida a hemophiliac or what?!?! It seems like ever time he fights he ends up losing a few pints of blood!

I would say Guida must have some pretty thin skin. I agree, it does seem like he gets cut badly every time he fights. But I'll be damned if his fights aren't some of the most entertaining in the UFC. His fight with Diego was AMAZING, as was his fight with Roger Huerta a few years back.

Well everyone has some percentage of chance against an opponent but I would say Maynard has a 9 percent chance of beating Penn lol.

I just don't see Maynard winning anyway other than catching BJ and knocking him out (which is pretty difficult to do). BJ has fought people that are better in all facets of the game than Maynard, and made them look stupid.

There's a big difference in being knocked down and knocked out. Fighters often recover from being knocked down. When you're knocked out the fight is over (see Michael Bisping v. Dan Henderson for a great example).

He has incredible take down defense due to his great balance. Diego can usually take his opponent down and he failed every time last night.

Knocked down and knocked out the same thing? Hardly not even close. In boxing if you are knocked down you get 10 seconds to recover or it's a knockout. In MMA you go down you get pounced on and the fight very well may continue!

Mir's prefight talk was 100% to get into Kongo's head, you saw what he did as soon as the fight was over, walked over to see if Kongo was physically alright and hugged him afterwards.

I'm not saying Mir is my favorite fighter, not in the least, but I like his antics 100 times better than Lesnar's.

Heck, he was even respectful of Lesnar's medical condition in the post fight interview with Rogan.

BJ is just amazing and I really don't like the guy.
Mir looked great and a fight with the Nog/Cain winner should be next.
KenFlo looked great, to be honest I'm not sure what you do with him. He's probably the 2nd best LW in the UFC but no where near BJ.

I am personally surprised Zuffa hasn't brought the WEC over to Spike.

I am personally surprised Spike isn't complaining about that contract showing UFC events on Versus.

Looks like for those 2 months that live events will be on VS I'll have to upgrade my Dish package for 1 month. I currently don't have VS but would at the next tier up.

I heard that Shane McMahon bought a piece of UFC. Is this true?

^I haven't heard that but it's believable. He has the money and seems to be a smart guy. He could see that UFC has taken over the pay per view world.

I don't know why but I just can't get into the WEC anymore. Once they dropped their bigger weight classes I lost most interest. I know the little guys bring the action but I just can't get interested in 2 fighters that weigh 135 a piece lol

I understand the difference...In regards to UFC's definition and the stats referring to Penn never being knocked down is referring to being knocked out.

Actually no, because to be honest in UFC fights Penn has never been knocked down, so they aren't referring to a knock out, they are referring to being knocked down by a strike.

Doodle... In the UFC Knocked out does not = Knocked down. Thanks for trying to correct me though. BJ Penn has never been knocked down in a fight and except for the GSP fight I am pretty sure he hasn't been taken down either. Penn is a beast and virtually unstoppable for now in his weight class. When he comes into a fight in shape he will win. The only exceptions to this is when he fought up weight classes. What I'm pointing out by the never been knocked down stat is that I think BJ has a pretty good chin and is gonna be hard for someone to KO him. Thats why I dont see anyone giving him much of a fight in his weight class in the UFC.
