Now that one Heacock is unemployed, maybe there will be another one, soon?

I've been rough on Heacock the past few years, but I have to give him some credit. He has done a great job this year.ghosthunter wrote: Now that one Heacock is unemployed, maybe there will be another one, soon?
For me, any talk of coach hiring/firing has to be centered on Bollman. I know, I know he doesn't call plays, but once they fire him they need to get somebody who CAN call plays and get Tress to just oversee things.

It is never right to egg somebody's house, but Kelly had to figure that he was going to be on the receiving end of some nasty treatment. WVU fans were rough on Rich Rod in the days after he took the Michigan job. If I remember correctly, Rich Rod's young nephew was getting threatened.rocket31 wrote: kelly has been on the horn with recruits today

OSU is going to move up but the way these rankings come to be will make it impossible for OSU to get in the top 25. They simply do not have enough scholarships left to be able to make a huge jump. I think they will be somewhere around 10 when it is all said and done. If a team signs 30 guys they have a higher rated class then a team with better players and only 18 guys. It is wrong and should be looked at team needs and not total amount of stars.

Cincy fans throw eggs and West Virgina fans give out death threats. (RR and his family) You be the judge.

Eleven of the top fourteen teams are located in warm weather parts of the country. Say what you will, but playing in the South or West is attractive to recruits. Yes, those teams have history going for them, but don't discount the weather as being a factor.

Painting Cincinnati fans with that broad brush would be equivlalent as saying all Notre Dame fans molest young boys.rocket31 wrote: kelly has been on the horn with recruits today

In terms of severity, of course not.Mr Pat wrote: [Wow... Wouldn't say it's the same thing though.
In terms of painting a large group based on the actions of a small number of people, it's exactly the same.

my sincere apologies for leading you wrong, however, i feel no need to argue semantics.queencitybuckeye wrote:

certainly, i realize there are runts in each litter of football fan base (yes, even at notre dame). the cincy ones are just more prominent these days then ever before...

Still disagree with you. I'm assuming you're going off the scandal that hit the Catholic Church and their priests. Unless you talked to these priests and found out they were Notre Dame fans, your statement is still wrong. I know people like to be edgy and throw out hip and cool things like child molestation, but it doesn't fit here. No matter how much you patted yourself on the back for it.queencitybuckeye wrote:In terms of severity, of course not.Mr Pat wrote: [Wow... Wouldn't say it's the same thing though.

It's "who" and not "whom," "are" and not "is," and "to" and not "too." Is that your fine Notre Dame education showing?rocket31 wrote: "those" classy cincy fans whom did the egging is what i was referring too.

It was a cheap shot, and I apologize to rocket, you, and the readers of the thread. My point was (I believe) valid, but I used a terrible comparison.Mr Pat wrote:Still disagree with you. I agree with your point, it is very silly (and stupid) to paint an entire group of people based on a few and you were right to take issue with the statement. Anyways, no harm done my good man.
