That abotu kills it for me. I was excited for the first one, but it was pretty shit. Doubt I'll even see this one now.

I just can't believe Stallone caved on this. Apparently Norris wouldn't do the movie unless they got rid of all the vulgar language and made it PG-13 so the kids could see it. News flash Chuck: Kids shouldn't ​be seeing the expendables 2!

I agree, the movie would've been just as big without him. Now you have a watered-down action flick with no swearing and minimal violence. The first movie made a ton of money despite being rated R so I just don't understand this move at all.

PG-13 movies piss me off, in general.

If I'm going to watch a movie that isn't ultra-violent or full of expletives I'll be watching a PG movie, most likely from Pixar.

Eh, there are some good movies on that list. Most would've probably been better with an R rating.
What's interesting from that link is that the top grossing R movie of all time doesn't even break the top 10 PG-13.

Which probably has a lot more to do with tickets not being legally sold to teenagers than lack of interest.
