...I like to watch the show even though like most reality shows quite a bit of it is staged for ratings. Last night was pretty good when the one gunsmiths "Vince" quit RJF. I saw on another message board that he actually had been the real owner since Will & his ugly daughter lost their FFA license due to an ATF audit that found they had a substantial amount of guns missing from their store. Vince has since moved on and started his own business & it was unsure who actually has the FFA license to keep Red Jacket open but it isn't father and daughter anymore.

[h=3]You could see tell that Vince was leaving for the past couple episodes. You'd think they would be a little nicer to one of the companies registered officers. Good Show, but Will is a goof.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms settlement[/h]During a routine inspection by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in 2009, Red Jacket could not account for ten registered guns. In a settlement, William Hayden and Stephanie Hayden surrendered their gun-making licenses and were allowed to choose a licensed individual to control Red Jacket. Initially, that person was Vincent Buckles, but Buckles has left the company and now two others individuals control the company.[SUP][3][/SUP]
In a WBRZ article, Attorney Craig Davidson, Jr., said that 10 guns did not go missing from the shop. Instead, one or two guns were stolen during 2001–2008. Davidson claimed the rest of the missing guns were receivers that were thrown away or destroyed when gunsmiths made mistakes. Although Davidson characterized the lost weapons as "simple bookkeeping errors", the ATF requires serial numbered parts to be tracked. Will and Stephanie Hayden did not keep track, so, according to Davidson, Hayden and the ATF mutually agreed to shutdown Red Jacket, Inc. The WBRZ article is silent about Will and Stephanie Hayden surrendering any federal firearms licenses.[SUP][4][/SUP]
Davidson further stated that at that time, Hayden was already in discussions with the Discovery Channel about the show and had plans to start another business, Red Jacket Firearms, L.L.C.[SUP][5][/SUP] Will Hayden is not an officer of Red Jacket Firearms, L.L.C. When Davidson was asked why Hayden was not an officer, Davidson stated the reason was a "confidential business decision".[SUP][4][/SUP]
Several "Red Jacket" entities are registered in Louisiana. The first is Red Jacket, Inc. (filed April 6, 1999).[SUP][6][/SUP] The officer is William M. Hayden, but the corporation is not in good standing because it failed to file an annual report. The second is Red Jacket Firearms, L.L.C. (filed May 7, 2010).[SUP][7][/SUP] As of January 7, the listed officers of the LLC are Joseph Whitney Meaux, Vincent Gordon Buckles, and Charles Riley Watson; neither Will Hayden nor Stephanie Hayden are listed as officers. A third entity is Red Jacket International, L.L.C. (filed April 6, 2011).[SUP][8][/SUP] The officer is William M. Hayden. Other "Red Jacket" entities appear to be unrelated.
ATF has issued a federal firearms license (FFL) to Red Jacket Firearms, L.L.C. The (partial) license number is 5-72-xxx-xx-xx-03043.[SUP][9][/SUP]

I like the show and watched the finale. It was pretty evident that Steph and Kris were hooking up. They really didnt show it during the season but if you watch their interactions mostly when they were blowing stuff up you could see a touch here, a look there.

As far as Vince......he seemed to have a burr up his ass for awhile now. He was portrayed as the employee who maybe was at a place for a little too long and wanted to do things his way and probably was a little butt-hurt that he didnt get the build for this latest job.

Do you think he sabatoged the weapon? It appeared like it wasnt cleaned after he tested it and shippped it, and had the wrong part in it. I think he intentionally did that.

Was a little surprised that he actually left for good though. I figured that next season he would come back and they take it as just a moment he was weak.

Nice "cliff hanger" at the wedding chapel....ya know they are not gonna get married there!

Good catch....they've been officially together the whole damn season. He asked her out in one of the first couple episodes of the season.

Pretty interesting stuff. I know much of it is staged but it is a good show. I imagine the next "owner" or whatnot is gonna be kris.

didnt know that one guy was a teacher and did RJ part time. Wonder if he loses his teaching job like Will inferred because he was outta days.

Was this officially the first season of RJ? I cannot recall. I do remember him asking her out, and Will telling him that he basically shouldnt dip his pen in company ink.

Most of the looks and touches were when they were out in the field when they were putting the weapons downrange. Most times it was when everyone is yelling and going nuts after an explosion you can see a hand on the shoulder, a hip and such.

Yeah...I noticed that stuff because I kinda like looking at Stephanie. she isnt a beauty queen but I think she is kinda hot.

Yeah, I know what they do isnt industry-first weapons, and that much of it is staged just like many shows but it is still interesting.

Kinda like Pawn Stars...I like to watch the show, learn some of the history of the items, but ya know damned well it is staged and are setups!

Except SoG is just a show of a bunch of guys building hacked up guns. Red Jacket used to be a highly respected custom builder, but they went WAAAAAAAAY off the deep end with this series. Watch Gunsmoke if you want to see real fabrication and gunsmithing.

Gunsmoke ain't much better. Read up on the owner. Sounds like a real loser.

Though at least they work on real guns, and as stated, the daughter is smoking hot.

That's one reason I like American Guns a little more. Hate the show part, and can't stand the owner. Never been a more staged show put on tv. But they at least deal with real guns. SOG just takes previous wacky ideas and adds another barrel and calls it their own.
