Meyer really wanted Elliot. He's not rated really high. Sounds like a hell of a speedster though.

Lots of people saying that Jayme Thompson told Billy Price he committed and Price leaked it over twitter. I have also read on twitter that Josh McNeil said he is 90% sure where he is going and I would think we lead for him.

Anybody ever watched Thompson play? I have seen where he ranks anywhere from a 3 star to rivals top 150. This also can't hurt our chances with his stud 14 teammate QB Kizer.

Didn't he just commit to West Virginia like last weekend? Very odd recruitment to say the least. He originally announced he was going to commit to Ohio State, Notre Dame, or West Virginia on New Year's Day even though he only had an offer from WV. Then he committed to WV without waiting for other offers. Was supposed to attend junior day at ND but didn't make the 2 hour drive that Saturday morning because it was foggy. Then picks up an offer from OSU last week and switches his commitment. Wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't really end his recruitment.

Cool story. Sounds like he wanted an osu offer all along. Got it and jumped on it.

I went back and looked and his original three finalists were Michigan, ND, and WV and only had an offer from WV. If he wanted an offer from OSU all along good for him that it worked out, but it sounds to me like he was listing any big schools that showed him interest and jumped at the first and and then second big offer he got. A strange way to handle your recruitment, but hopefully it works out for him. From what I've seen its a good get for OSU and I wasn't trying to slam him or OSU. Sorry if it came across that way.

Yes it did. But it always, always does with you. So I wasn't shocked then and I'm not now either.

maybe you could use some thicker skin. I'm not shocked that you get so pissy over an opinion that his recruitment is/was unorthodox.
I'll try this part again, good get for OSU, from the little I've read about him as a player he is a good one. Hopefully that appeases Midstate01 he will be able to sleep now.

Its been a strange recruitment since late December, has nothing to do with him committing to OSU.
Again, he is a very good player from the very little I have heard. Good get for OSU. Best of luck to him.
