I may think it's funny if I knew who Ron Swanson is?
edit

- Google won. I searched.

Ronald Ulysses "Ron" Swanson is a fictional character played by Nick Offerman in the American comedy television series Parks and Recreation on NBC. Ron is parks department director in the Indiana city of Pawnee and the immediate superior of protagonist Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler). Despite holding a government job, Ron is a staunch Libertarian who believes in as little government as possible and feels the parks department should not exist. Ron's birthday is May 6th.
Ron, who has an extremely deadpan and masculine personality, actively works to make city hall less effective and despises interacting with the public. He loves meat, hunting and breakfast foods. He hates and fears his two ex-wives, both of whom are named Tammy (also his mother's name), one of whom is played by Offerman's real-life wife, Megan Mullally. Ron claims not to be interested in the personal lives of those around him but actually cares a great deal about his colleagues, and has a particularly strong respect for Leslie

Sounds like a funny show? Except I hate most tv shows, so I doubt I'd like it.

Ron Swanson is perhaps the sit-com character of all time.

I wouldn't go that far, but he is def a top 10 character. The best character amongst all the shows that are currently on-air, that's for sure. I was pretty shocked he wasn't nominated for an Emmy last year.

That's why I included the "perhaps." He is easily the best current character. The only character off the top of my head that I would personally put ahead of him is Kramer.

Well, Nick Offerman came to tOSU last night and it was awesome to say the least. It was his first "routine" in front of a college crowd, and nobody really knew what to expect. What I learned was he has to be one of the most genuine, honest celebrities that I have seen in person. Here's a summary of last night:

1: He is genuinely in love with his wife (Megan Mullally from Will and Grace), and they LOVE to fuck each other.

2: He can play guitar and sing. He took a few famous songs and changed the words (most notably Carrie Underwood's Jesus The Wheel, to which he made it about picking up a hitchhiking Jesus who in turn got him high as shit. About 15 people left after his first of MANY weed jokes, to which I was laughing my ass off. Its unfortunate 3/4 of the people in attendance were sheltered freshman who did not expect any jokes about "horrible drugs", which also included a nice little 'shrooms bit)

3: He is obsessed with Tom Waits.

4: The guy is a renowned wood-worker and devotes all of his spare time to wood-working...and banging his smoking hot wife.

5: He became a born-again Christian in high school specifically so he could bang a hot girl he went to school with. That's dedication.

6: Did I mention he loves fucking his wife?
