Just because we played like shit for 30 minutes and it ended up close doesn't make it a monumental court storming moment. They're good for 2 dumbass stormings of the court when OU is a heavy favorite per year (usually one is Miami). If only I could get my fellow alums to quit making bullshit excuses for it when I argue it afterward. No one will tell the students that they look like retards, so they keep doing it.

The O Zone is the best student section in the MAC, but they are just amazingly retarded when it comes to court/field rushing.
yeah.. I seen some pics on facebook and I was just like "ehhh..really?"

Anyways. Zips beat Kent State 84-75 after being down by 10(I think) in the second half.

Justin Greene didnt really do much at all. Maybe because of Zeke's presence and him being in foul trouble. Kent shot the ball well from the 3, which got them the early lead. Kent has that nice OOC win against WVU, but I think you have to consider this season a disappointment so far with all they returned.

Luckily, they know from last year that the regular season doesnt mean squat. They still could get hot for tourney play. Hopefully not.

After the first round of crossover games:

East: 5
West: 1

Way to fuck it up and lose to the shittiest team ever, Toledo, at home, Miami.

Got to see part of the OU game. Kinda sad that they had to play the full 40 to beat West Michigan, but a win is a win.

And they won by four or so. 59-55, I think Yahoo says. A necessary win to keep pace, since Akron's playing Central Michigan, which should be an automatic win for them.

BracketBusters matchups (at least the televised ones) come out tomorrow at 6:30 PM. Ohio and Akron have a decent shot at a televised game.

people over on zipsnation seem to think we will draw oral roberts, davidson, or Iona. It will be away, regardless, so hopefully it will be televised.

Drake or Drexel seems to be a distinct possiblity for Ohio. That game will be in the Convo (we're home this year for Bracketbusters)

Ohio draws UNC-Asheville, Saturday 2/18 at 7PM, but only on ESPN3 (technically counts as "televised", but ESPN can fuck off)

College of Charleston is coming to Kent. Date/Time that weekend TBA, it will not be televised.

Yeah, there is way too much Missouri Valley Conference dick sucking going on by ESPN. OU has defeated 2 of the 22 teams, Buffalo and Northern Iowa (the latter was a blowout in Iowa) that get on national tv due to this tragedy, and was leading a third with under 5 minutes to play (Akron.)

ESPN3 is not a tv station!

Coach Groce said it best in his weekly radio show, "On the list of teams that were available for the Bracketbuster, we were the 7th rated highest home team. 13 games are put on national television, that's 26 teams. Our guys deserve to be on national television, PERIOD!"

17-4 with an RPI of 71 apparently isn't better than a 13-9, 108 RPI Loyola Marymount (with a losing record at home and not even the best Loyola to boot), a 15-7, 90 RPI New Mexico State, and a 13-10, 79 RPI Missouri State (who happened to lose at Northern Iowa.) What the fuck were they thinking?

I'm sort of pissed off and disappointed that Ohio played to NIU's level for so much of that game. Only up by one at the half, I think, before pulling away in the early part of the second half.

But playing a team like those shitheels that close for so long is just annoying...
