OSU v. Michigan is a perfect example of why this was a fraud. If OSU and Michigan had a rematch... we would have never known both really weren't the top 2 teams. This game/situation is an EXACT repeat of that. During the regular season there was NO reason to doubt that OSU/Michigan were the top 2 heading into THE GAME. Both undefeated, both playing REALLY well. The game was close (and it was exciting, something these two teams can't claim).

And if those two teams played again no one would have known they weren't the best. Instead, there was no re-match, thus giving teams from another CONFERENCE (which is important in a sport with limited games to have cross conference games to see how good teams really are) to show that they were better.

Here there was no opportunity for that. We will never KNOW whether these really were the best two teams... THUS it is a fraud of a championship game... it accomplishes NOTHING.

A rematch prove NOTHING. With Bama winning, LSU can still say well we beat them at their field so we're the better team. But Bama can say they won the second so they are better. In fact the teams are now split... tied at 1-1... what does that prove? Nothing.

This game is a complete fraud.
