Exactly.. if he scored half that many points, which would still be really good for him, we win easily. Back away from the ledge people.

I'm not saying because of this loss. I'm talk about how only 5 or 6 play. Matta needs to build a bench.

His posts are always dramatic. Its hard to read in game threads because I think I missed some horrible play when it was just a regular play.

The point of defense is to stop the other team from scoring.

Give Brandon Paul some credit. The guy was unbelievable. The shot he made over was ridiculous.OSU competed hard but couldn't overcome a 43 point night by a guy averaging 12 ppg and shooting 28% from behind the arc.Tonight he was 8/10 behind the arc. Shit happens and it happened to OSU tonight.

You cant ignore some of osu's glaring issues that have been ongoing for a while now. I think they are top 12 and Illinois played lights out, but there are issues

Probably the one glaring need for improvement to me is Crafts ability to take and make a few threes. The last three games the gameplan has been to get it down in the block, that's fine and I have no problem with it but now it's become the only thing we do. The passes are telegraphed and defended well. Were Craft taking and making a couple that would open up the block some and make the in easier. As it stands you only have to guard the drive and pass down low with him, no threat of a shot.

He's used a short bench since he's been here. It hasn't hurt recruiting. Sully and Craft both played 30 minutes a game last year as freshmen. If the young guys would step up and earn the minutes they would get them.

Yes im very dramatic. Ohio St is not a great team. They are a Top 15 yes but not a top 5 team. Craft is not the same player. Yes his defense is good but offense is just horrible. Buford is Buford awesome against shitty teams. But in crunch time it's not good. Sully is Sully but he needs help and is not getting it. Thomas is the MVP of this team. He is the player we thought he would be.
Smith starting why what does he give the Buckeyes? 0-2 each night that's solid.
With a top 10 recruiting class and none of them getting alot of playing time why would you come here as a recruit? Most kids now want to play right away. How do we know they aren't ready? Thad never plays them
to find out.

I don't think they are top 5 either. I also wasn't one of the ones saying they would be better than last year like a LOT of people.

If you think this game or season is going to effect recruiting I'm sorry.....you're retarded. If Matta thought the recruits should play, they would play.

Maybe you should find another team. Duke?

Thompson played 18 minutes tonight. He had 0 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. Doubt that's gonna leave anyone screaming for more. Spoon went 0-2 and turned the ball over twice in only 6 minutes. How is that earning minutes (or trust)?

Also, to this point statistically this is the deepest rotation Thad has played since the 2006 team that made the national title. 9 guys averaging 10+ mpg (there were only 7 last year, for example). That may drop off in conference play, it really depends on how many games are like this one, where Sullinger goes to the bench for 2 minutes and the team gets outscored 8-0.

OSU is not as good as last years team. Craft didn't improve. No one has ever demanded anything from Buford. Sully shouldn't have lost weight. Matta doesn't develop a bench.

With that said, they are an elite 8 team.

Final numbers for Buford: 7/18 shooting, no free throws, 3 rebounds (in 37 minutes), 0 assists and 4 turnovers.
