Luckily Duke is on ESPN 75 times a year, so I normally don't need to worry about messing with the online ACC Network feed. But agreed. At the start of the second half, tonight's game looked like a three-dimensional version of Tetris. Absolutely sad.

No, before they said the one ref had called a foul. They said they were going to the monitor to see if there was a foul committed. As in no one called it but they were gonna check to see if one was committed.

The rule book specifically spells out that officials cannot go to the monitor for judgment calls such as to determine who committed a foul (unless it is flagrant), determine whether there was basket interference or goaltending, or determine whether a violation occurred. That has not changed.
or if someone committed a foul. Unless a ref had whistled it and they played on, there was nothing to look at.

I'm reminded of one of my favorite Coach K quotes. When asked by a reporter one year if he thought Duke got all the calls, Coach K responded, "I sure hope so."

Duke pulls of another grand theft. Unreal. The Blue Devils only played well for 3 minutes. They had no business winning this game. None at all.

lol Yeah that quote is great.

But what I was saying is the G Man and Brando were saying they were going to the monitor to check is the foul was committed or not. Not when it occurred.
