They were a 7.5 favorite on the road in the playoffs obviously vegas didn't think it mattered either. The Broncos were missing some key starters also, they overcame.

...and the Steelers didn't. They weren't good enough yesterday to overcome the injuries and the play of the Broncos. Why is that not accurate?

I wasn't making an excuse for Pittsburgh. I think people would know better than that by now. Pittsburgh was definitely the more talented team. They got beat by a QB with a hot hand and a defense who banged Roethlisberger around a bit. Injuries aren't an excuse. If you're good enough, you overcome them.

What a lot of people don't take into account in this game for a visiting team is the altitude. First & second quarter and you're ok but late in the 3rd/4th quarter that Mile High altitude has you messed up. The call on the TD was brilliant by Denver's O-Coordinator. Steelers were selling the house on the run, leaving the corners (who were probably sucking wind from the altitude) on an island. Once Thomas got a step it was over.

I too thought we were saying the same thing. I still don't understand the "SMH".

I didn't bring up injuries once in the bombardment of mssgs I have received from friends starting late last night.

None of my friends that are Steelers fans have mentioned them either really. Yes there were injuires, but either way, the Broncos outplayed the Steelers.

One of hosts on 92.3 (Cleveland) who was supporting the Steeler point of view was using that as his SOLE argument (injuries). Good to see you and your friends aren't using it as a crutch. A lot of the people where I live are.

Pittsburgh could have won the game with the players they had on the field, they flat out didn't make plays when needed and didn't get it done.

Sure the injuries sucked, they happen, but that many is difficult to overcome.

Denver honestly just had the perfect gameplan and executed it when needed. Protect your QB, get the Defense to sell on the run, and attack weak corners deep.

My friend who lives in Pittsburgh posted on a Pittsburgh radio station's Facebook saying they lost because they didn't show up to play and the refs helped too. Hahah

Steelers did have a lot of guys out, but 2nd string NFL guys are also professional football players. I'm not using the excuse that Moreno, Kuper, Dawkins, and Decker are out.

Why would anyone use the injury excuse if their team won? "Yeah, the Broncos won but half of our team was injured. Such a disappointing performance."

When you understand that Speedofsand's sports knowledge begins and ends with "I HEART FLORIDA AND ESPECIALLY TEBOW", you'll realize why he's talking about using the injury excuse for a team's win.

The last 3 weeks the Broncos played teams that could handle the run as well as having Corners who could play man.
