If NBC gets dibs, they will only consider PIT if NYG wins tonight, IMO. If DAL wins, no one will displace them as their pick, even Jesus vs. a massive fanbase.Non;1034197 wrote:NBC has both Saturday games...one at 4:30 and one at 8 p.m.
CBS and Fox each have a game on Sunday

I think NBC gets first dibs on the primetime game, but I could be wrong about that
So why do they kick off from the 35 yd line now?Mulva;1034198 wrote:That's not a legitimate reason for why it should be done. That's just saying it's the rule because it's the rule.
for wildcard weekend, i'm pretty sure they have their choice of nfc teams for the primetime game this year (jets/colts was nbc's primetime game last year for wildcard weekend and falcons/packers was fox's primetime game for the divisional round). i'd imagine steelers/broncos will be the 430 game on sundayNon;1034197 wrote:NBC has both Saturday games...one at 4:30 and one at 8 p.m.

True. Detroit/New Orleans and Pittsburgh/Denver are intriguing options but Dallas probably trumps all for Saturday primetime.ts1227;1034201 wrote:If NBC gets dibs, they will only consider PIT if NYG wins tonight, IMO. 4:00 on CBS Sunday with Nantz/Simms beats Saturday afternoon (no one is home) with NBC's backup announce crew of Tom Hammond and Mike Mayock. Better day, network, and crew.dazedconfused;1034210 wrote:for wildcard weekend, i'm pretty sure they have their choice of nfc teams for the primetime game this year (jets/colts was nbc's primetime game last year for wildcard weekend and falcons/packers was fox's primetime game for the divisional round). i'd imagine steelers/broncos will be the 430 game on sunday
To reduce injuries caused by kickoff collisions by increasing the number of touchbacks. I'm not a fan of that rule either, but if the evidence over the next few years shows that kickoff related injuries are significantly down I couldn't argue against the legitimacy of it.Skyhook79;1034202 wrote:So why do they kick off from the 35 yd line now?
You might be right about that. I know for the divisional round it rotates so CBS will have the primetime game on Saturday, either at Baltimore or at New England.dazedconfused;1034210 wrote:for wildcard weekend, i'm pretty sure they have their choice of nfc teams for the primetime game this year (jets/colts was nbc's primetime game last year for wildcard weekend and falcons/packers was fox's primetime game for the divisional round). i'd imagine steelers/broncos will be the 430 game on sunday
Win your Division then. All the steelers had to do was win 1 of 2 against the Ravens and not lose both including at HOME.Mulva;1034219 wrote:
But I'll always argue against an 8-8 team hosting a 12-4 team. I think the Steelers will win anyway though. Denver sucks.
I was hoping for that time slot.dazedconfused;1034292 wrote:game is at 430 on sunday btw
Where'd you see that?dazedconfused;1034292 wrote:game is at 430 on sunday btw

Pittsburgh will face Denver in the Wild Card round of the playoffs next weekend.
Mendenhall got hurt on a 5-yard carry on the final play of the first quarter against Cleveland.
He walked slowly to the sideline. [READ]

Looks like karma for his 9/11 comments finally came back to bite him in the ass.
He acted like an idiot POS and now has a torn ACL at the end of the season which could screw up his season next yr as well. And to top it off he has to miss playing in the post season.Ironman92;1034329 wrote:How's that karma?

Tebow's family tree must be flawless then. Maybe one of them fucked up somewhere along the line and karma will bite him in the ass next Sunday. At least that's what I'm hoping for.Ironman92;1034401 wrote:Karma from his Dad's past. Karma is also generational.
