He also tweeted that the realistic value for the Browns to trade up to #2 from #4 is #4, #22 and a 6th round pick.

If the allegations are true (quitting for the CIA), the dude can't be trusted/relied upon to honor a long-term deal, imo, and they probably want to look elsewhere.

Running back might be the only position were the learning curve for rookies is almost nill. Plenty of rookie backs can thrive in the first year.

And if Steinbach comes back and a guy is added for the right side, someone with some explosion at RB might not hurt?

I forgot about Steinbach. Has there been any word on his progress?

McCoy's completion percentage for his career is around 60% and his qback rating about 75. Hardly impressive. But let's not forget that his wide receiver dropped more passes than any other team....by a wide margin.

Not gonna deny that getting RGIII would be really exciting. If we pull the trigger.... then....oooh--wacka...wacka. But the trade off is losing both Blackman and Wright...a tandem that potentially could rival Swann and Stalworth...for those that are old enough to remember.

With all the RGIII ball kissin going around, maybe the Colts will trade down to #2 and draft Jesus. :D

Heard he was ahead of schedule and should be back. Where it gets dicey is his contract. They likely will want him to restructure or else.

I'll be extremely surprised if they draft Blackmon and they sure aren't going to draft both him AND Wright.

If they don't pull the switch on RGIII, then they will draft Blackmon...and they should draft Wright as well. Most are tired of us not having a great quarterback. Most are also sick of having a pile of crud wide receivers as well.

Nothing wrong with selecting Paige from Toledo either...around the 4th or 5th round. Paige is physically a Welker clone...or the dude the Vikes have from Florida...forget his name now. Weapons in the NFL come in the form of receivers. Along with an o-coordinator who can design plays that pull safeties out of position in order to strike deep. Childress was kind of a shmuck as head coach, but I can remember his verticle passing plays. He's a good pick up..no matter which direction the Browns decide to go to...in the first round.

IF we draft blackmon, there is no way in hell they should get wright. That'd be a waste of a pick, not to mention after his poor combine results. If you take blackmon, go defense with the second first round pick.

If you say so but I think you're wrong.

If they don't trade up for RG3 then the pick will likely be Claiborne and to be honset, the Rams want Claiborne bad. If the Rams want to hold the Browns hostage for a kings ransom to move up to #2 and want to trade back up from 6 to 4 to get Claiborne, if I'm Heckert I give St Louis a raping that would make Roethlisberger blush.

Rumors are Steelers will not franchise Mike Wallace...

Browns need to go after him hard, IMO.

It would cost us the #4 pick. No way you give that to the Steelers, and no way is MW worth that.

No. Scroll back a page or two. They will tender him and it would cost the #4 pick in the draft.

Oh, my bad...

I just saw the headline that they weren't franchising him and assumed he'd just become a FA...

If that's the case, then nevermind

I say you stay put at 4 and if RGIII falls you take him, if not you get Claiborne. Sign Garcon in FA, then draft Wright with that second first rounder and target Paige (Toledo) or Hilton (FIU) in the 4th or 5th round.

They need receivers but that's overkill.

They only need maybe 2 receivers. They will sign John Carlson (TE-Seattle) as another receiving target in FA. MoMass & Norwood would both be solid #4's. If Massaquoi isn't one of the main options he'll be fine.
