I think if I had to pick, it would be Haden first, then Richardson, then Weeden. Hard to choose a QB jersey with the carousel that has gone on in Cleveland since they came back.

A Sub 4.5 forty is pretty impressive for a 39 year old...

Seahawks sign Terrell Owens to one-year deal

Seahawks agreed to terms with WR Terrell Owens on a one-year contract.

Oh boy. Owens' ACL recovery and hard-earned reputation as a locker-room cancer conspired to keep him out of the league in 2011, but the receiver-needy Seahawks decided to take the plunge after the mercurial 15-year veteran ran a sub-4.5 forty-yard dash in his Monday tryout. A bastion of good health before his knee injury and quick healer on the rare occasions he did go down, Owens' fitness shouldn't be a big concern going on age 39. It's a speculative signing for the Seahawks, of course, but considering the veteran stones they've unturned in their search for receiver help, Owens' chances of making the 53-man roster should be pretty good. We'll know more after watching him play in the preseason, but he's certainly on the fantasy radar as a potential WR4.

Still though, I think Dalton and Weeden will have similar careers. I could see how people think Weeden has more potential, but remember, if Green bailed Dalton out, it helped Weeden out throwing to the best WR in college football last year.

Absolutely... I laughed at all the highlights of Blackmon when he was drafted because most of them were great catches on terrible
Under throws by weeden.

Yep. Gotta love the training camp optimism that happens every year. Let me know when grandpa weeden does something that matters then I'll be impressed

Florio repeating what I have been saying since draft day:
The Browns have a new owner. And as truck-stop magnate Jimmy Haslam tries to get his arms around the football business, he’s got a big decision to make — even if he doesn’t realize how big of a decision it is.

Quarterback Colt McCoy has lost the competition for the team’s starting job. He previously said he had been promised a chance to compete with rookie Brandon Weeden. McCoy now says, publicly, that there was no competition.
McCoy’s agenda is now clear. He wants out. And since there are no Super Bowl trophies to drag around from the bumper of his car, McCoy is relegated to trying to talk his way out of town.
The problem is that team president Mike Holmgren’s head is sufficiently hard to keep McCoy around, if only to prove who’s in charge.
Haslam now needs to show that he’s the guy in charge.
Keeping McCoy, as we’ve said since Weeden was drafted, would be a mistake. If Weeden struggles, McCoy will become the most popular guy in Cleveland. And if Weeden gets dinged up and McCoy gets a chance to play and plays well, the Browns could have another Derek Anderson/Brady Quinn clusterfudge on their hands.
So the Browns need to go with Seneca Wallace as the backup, get what they can for McCoy, and move on. Even if they can’t get anything for McCoy, the Browns need to move on.
Former owner Randy Lerner didn’t want the sale of the team to be a distraction. Why let the backup quarterback become one? The decision to use the 22nd overall pick on Weeden necessarily closed the book on McCoy in Cleveland.

Cool iggy you were "right" about a pretty obvious situation....everyone knew Weeden would be the starter from day 1. Everyone knew McCoy will probably be gone. It wasn't that hard to figure out.

Pat yourself on the back 4-5 times for your miraculous prediction.

So, I know it's the Browns, and we haven't seen anything yet... but comments like these just get me amped!
[INDENT=4]
The Browns evaluated Josh Gordon as a better wide receiver prospect than Justin Blackmon, a source tells ESPN Cleveland.
Blackmon went No. 5 overall while Gordon was a second-round supplemental pick. Gordon does have two inches and 15 pounds on Blackmon, but it's hard to put too much stock in wideout evaluations done by the Browns' front office.
They also reportedly believe Gordon is on par with Julio Jones.
