Ignore the troll.

I'm signing up for the Cincinnati event at some point today before the price goes up. I might end up doing this one as well. Pretty stupid, though. Someone in my position (unemployed) paying someone else to go run in the mud. I'm the problem with our country. I'm the reason we're in such a shitty mess.

Didnt know man. SOrry to hear about that.

I know, when I would always pay for the races I would run in non runners would wonder why would one PAY to go run when you can do it any day for free! Some were cheap like 5K's, but the half marathons can be expensive.

I may try and do a tough mudder at some point. COuld use the challenge.

Curly J;1032115 wrote:Yep I'm learning. Not bad for an average person that worked 4 years on sophisticated Aircraft that made a base pay of $1001.00 a month after 4 years of Service. I still wonder what Delta/American Airlines/TWA would have payed back then to work on their less sophisticated aircraft...probably the same fair market value.
I don't really want to derail this thread anymore than I already have. But seriously? I think $1,000 a month is pretty good money for a high school graduate getting on the job training and free healthcare. There's no chance Delta would even let you touch a plan right out of high school so your value to them would be $0/month.

Even if you got a technical degree that dealt with airplane maintenance, and you could have gotten $40,000 a year working for Delta, all that tells me is that you value the idea of serving your country at a rate of 28k a year. I call that stupid, but there's a reason the military pays so low is because they get endless waves of morons like you who will take less pay to do the same work.

You aren't special, nice job on wasting 4 years of your life making shit money. How does it feel? LOL

Tough Mudder would mean training and not just an inspirational run. Trying a "warrior dash" first is a good idea.

___ This is just nutsack crazy. 24-hour tough mudder. ouch!

World’s Toughest Mudder 2011

A Non-stop 24-Hour Tough Mudder designed to find the TOUGHEST human being on the planet

World’s Toughest Mudder is the culminating event of the 2011 Tough Mudder Event Series, and will be a two-day challenge with one goal: to find the toughest man or woman on the planet. When the mud settles on December 18, one person will have bested over 150,000 Mudders for the right to call him or herself the World’s Toughest Mudder!
Here’s how it’s going down: WTM competitors will have 24 hours to complete as many laps of the course as they can. At the 24 hour mark, all competitors must complete the lap they are on. The event’s winner will be whichever participant has completed the greatest total number of laps in the allotted 24 hours. The winner must still be on the course at 24 hours (not stopped or disqualified). In the event that multiple participants complete the Winner’s Total, the winner will be whichever participant crossed the finish line of their final lap first.

This event is a competition, with the winner being crowned World’s Toughest Mudder and receiving a cash prize of US$10,000. Participants will be required to wear timing chips and will be subject to the event’s official rules. That said, participants are strongly encouraged to help each other make it through the course as with any Tough Mudder event.
CAUTION: Of those that begin the event, only 10% are expected to finish. Only those in extreme PHYSICAL and MENTAL condition should even think about attempting to enter.
This is retarded. Why not just have people run across the country and the last person that stops for a drink of water wins? It's way cheaper, makes way more sense, and the award would go a person that is 100x tougher than someone running around in mud.

So does this mean that if they lose an arm or a leg in the service of our country that we shouldn't try to help these organizations that try and help soldiers?? Just because a majority are fuck ups???

We can't help everyone. Should we give money to those who lose their arm or leg in a car accident on the way to work? Ya know, the people that actually pay taxes in this country to fund all of these stupid wars.

I guess that makes me feel dumb. Looking back I should have drawn unemployment. Maybe have the tax payers like you support my family and pay for my college while I did nothing in return. That would have been the easy and smartest route...Shame on me for doing something to support my wife and kid and contributing to society. I'll keep that in mind for the future though. Thank you for making me see the errors of my ways and it's nice to know I can still learn from the World's Greatest Donut.

As for the Tough Mudder I won't be running it as I'm too old, busted up, and out of shape...not necessarily in that order. I will donate to those from the OC that do run it as I believe in the Wounded Warrior cause.

Unless your wife is banging other dudes aren't you sort of in control of whether she gets pregnant?
