I'm updating my phone from an Incredible 2 to the iPhone 4s on January 5. I've been looking at the memory size and I'm not sure what is sufficient enough for me. I've been thinking 16gb. Does anyone know if that's ample enough memory space? I think my Incredible 2 has an 8gb memory chip and I'm not sure how much internal memory it has. I've never filled the memory, but I don't know if the iPhone comes with apps or what not that take up memory right off the bat. Any advice will be appreciated.

16 should be enough.

I have 32 in my Rezound, but I doubt I ever have a use for it.

16gb iPhone will come with about 3gb already used. I have about 1500 songs, 100 apps, and 100 or so pictures, and I have no problem. Also, having the Cloud saves you from having to put everything on your phone.

se-alum, I have a little over 100 pictures and maybe 5 songs. I just didn't know with the apps how much I'd be using. Not exactly sure what cloud is either. I'll have to look that up.

No 8gb.

16 is fine. I'd like to have 32, but not worth the increase in price IMO. Once you read up on iCloud you will see you have plenty of options.

I have a 16GB and it's more than enough. Have over 200 photos, a few hundred songs and several apps/games on it.

It's easy to manage and you can take stuff off and add it on as you please. iCloud helps out a lot as well.

So, I know you guys are iPhone owners and probably fans as well. But, is there anyone that has had or currently has a Droid and recommends them over the iPhone? Just curious to see if there are any people that would prefer and it their reason why. I like my Droid, but with all of the hype surrounding the iPhone 4s it seems kind of silly not to get it. It seems to be the, "greatest phone ever", according to most people.

I like droid better. I like bigger screens, 4g, more free apps, Google navigation, customization.

The iPhone 4s is the best iPhone ever, but there are several other phones that are on par or better

Yeah, 16gb really comes down to how much music you plan to keep on your phone. I've got close to 40gigs of music, and could probably cut that in half but then throw in some videos and pics and I'm not overly happy with 32gigs on my Nexus.

I agree with this. I have the HTC Rezound and in my opinion, it is much better than the Iphone.

Not many differences between iOS products and android now a days.... Droids have bigger screen but battery life takes a dive. Many more free apps on Androids but quality apps come to iOS devices first and come to android phones at a later date(can be same time but can be months or years later). Android phones are very customizable with rooting and running custom roms, etc.... You can jailbreak your iOS device but i've never done that yet.

I'm currently on my 2nd android phone and love it but hate the battery drain. I'm rooted and have it optimized to sip on the battery. Rooting looks really hard but once you follow the steps on the XDA forums, it's really easy and becomes addicting to flash different roms to your phone. I will be buying my first iOS device next fall when the iphone 5 lte(4g) model is released fall 2012(prolly).

I do love all the widgets that you can use with android phones and all the free apps you can get from the amazon app store(app a day give away) and specials the android market runs. It comes down to preferences and I like both platforms and going to try my first iphone and then decide when operating system I will stay with.

Both platforms are very good. Agreed with most of what Imex said.

I would add that Android CAN be more productive and useful for you, but it requires some investment in time and learning. If you want to run it like IOS, the learning curves and user experience are very similar, with the caveat about apps mentioned above (IOS apps do tend to be more polished and out first, but you tend to pay more for it as well).

I love my widgets, and even jailbreaking IOS the selection of widgets is pretty poor because with Android your app doesn't compete well if it should have a widget.

And Tasker/Locale are amazing apps for Android. All smartphones should have that functionality, and maybe you can get that jailbreaking but I don't know.

I just don't like the consistency of Android phones.

You never know when your phone is going to not be supported, a bunch of them are running different versions of the OS, and they all seem to suffer from the same fate after prolonged use, not to mention subpar battery.

Before I got my iPhone 4, I had an HTC Evo... Not a bad phone for the most part, but after a year it just sucked ass. Lock screen would freeze upon receiving phone calls, general lag between applications and homescreen, etc...

I'm sure the newer Android phones have come a long way in fixing those issues, but IMO, iOS is just a more refined OS. The new notification system makes up for widgets, but I was honestly never a big fan of widgets to begin with. Most felt gimmicky.

Just show me the weather, the time, and my battery life. Everything else is just a click away to begin with.

I think these reasons are why I prefer iOS and now even Windows mobile over Android.

Not to mention, iOS has much better games.
