Never close.

I have taught "anger management" and very basic mathematics at a correctional facility for the past 7 years.

I was detained once while the 5-0 executed a search warrant. Sat in the back of a paddy wagon for about three hours before being released.

In my youthful day I had some difficulties and did some crazy things at I’m not proud of but lesson that helped me grow and better myself. Not experiences I would encourage but was valuable to me.

My first was at 13 years old and somewhat continued until I was 20. Mostly over the summer time out of high schoolnever during football, basketball, wrestling or track season.

I havent.

Couple of years ago there was a new county jail built. It was needed big time.

A few weeks before they were to open it for inmates they took volunteers to spend a weekend in it as 'prisoners' so they could do a dry run to make sure it all was working. They got almost double the amount of people they needed to volunteer for it.

I'm just surprised your wife didn't volunteer you. ;)

As for the question, never spent the night, but spent some time in one.

Before I met her! It woulda been interesting.

IN looking back, they should have worked with the local schools, in conjunction with the parents, to do sort of a scared straight program with problem kids. Make them spend a few days in jail. Of course, you couldnt make them do it, but if the parents agreed to it.....
