Your'e assuming Mike Brown cares that they are blacked out.se-alum;1028211 wrote:Can't the Bengals make some of the seats unavailable for purchase, therefore needing to sell less tickets for a "sellout".

Dumb question- Do the Bengals still get their full share of the NFL TV contract, even though they don't sell out every game and get televised?

Yes, and so does every NFL team that doesn't sell out games. Carolina, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Oakland, Arizona, Cincinnati, Miami, Buffalo, St. Louis and I'm pretty sure others have all had blackouts in the last few years.said_aouita;1028379 wrote:Dumb question- Do the Bengals still get their full share of the NFL TV contract, even though they don't sell out every game and get televised?

† – Games were always blacked out locally before 1973; the dates for the Packers, Redskins, Broncos, and Steelers refer to the last non-sellout.
‡ – The Browns didn't sell out their last two home games for the 1995 season as a direct result of the Cleveland Browns relocation controversy, this was despite one of the games being against their in-state rivals, the Bengals. The Cleveland Browns have sold out every game since their re-introduction into the NFL in 1999.

Interesting considering the Redskins have sucked a lot over the past dozen years.

They still televise them, just not locally.said_aouita;1028379 wrote:Dumb question- Do the Bengals still get their full share of the NFL TV contract, even though they don't sell out every game and get televised?
Does anybody know when the Browns had their last blackout, before Art Modell was a piece of shit. It's hard to really count the 1995 blackout?Skyhook79;1028564 wrote:Teams and year of last blackout/non-sell outAs of the 2010 season, the Texans, and Ravens have never had a blacked out game.

SPorts talk on WLW was talking about the over/under that vegas had on the bengals before the season. It was like in August and it was like 7.5 or 8 wins. The host was going nuts that that is the safest bet in sports.
I agreed...as did all the callers.
Just found it amazing taht vegas got that one right!

Vegas usually gets it right. They're not in the business to lose money.

That is for sure.....but most times when I see a line, or an over/under I am a bit wishy-washy on what side i would take and RAREly does something seem like it would be a no brainer.
