Just trying to explain why people make a much bigger deal about NBA star calls as compared to the NFL. Stars who play / played in the NFL are much more universally liked

Also helps that they are seen. All their words are caught on tape. All their facial expressions to opponents and refs/coaches and teammates is caught. Anything bad they do is caught.

In the NFL, you can get a way with a TON. In the piles you can be dirty and get away with it. You can bitch all game without hand gestures and be 100% clean because no one can hear it.


Remember last week the guy who was heard over the refs mic? Im betting that happens all the time, and it isnt picked up. Players cant really have their mouths read in football and so they can get away with a lot more complaining.

I just wanted to say that Joey Crawford by FAR is the most incompetent & dirty official in the NBA... straight screwed Boston out of that game in the 4th Quarter. Those 2 Technical's on Sasha Pavlovic & Jermaine O'Neal were pathetic & the foul on Marquis Daniels after poking the ball from Melo w/ under 20 seconds to go was absolutely absurd... With that said, No Pierce hurt today big time, Not only did they miss his scoring but there was practically no D on Melo & Pierce can play vs. Melo... Also Rondo looked amazing & Brandon Bass will fit into what Boston wants to do a lot this year...

Rondo might be the only starter who's not practically dead by the playoffs. This shortened season with more games so close together is going to hurt Boston more then any other team.

What screwed Boston was not guarding Melo the entire 4th quarter, Ray Allen forcing that shot he had to tie when he had time to gather off the inbounds, and KG missing the equalizer and then grabbing Bill WAlker by the throat like a ****
