LaQuinton Ross getting his first PT of the year. Drains a 3 for his first shot....

If Thad let's him play, he'll be a big addition. Big time recruit who ran into some bad luck.

First glimpse of Ross playing for the Buckeyes and he kinda reminds me of a Carmello Anthony. Now I'm not saying that's what he going to be this year since he is behind, but the stroke looked good to me and he a lot bigger than I thought he was. A player that tall who can shoot? I see why he was one of the top recruits in the country.

That's a comparison I've heard before. I haven't seen him play yet, but I do expect him to be a big time contributor by the end of the year.

Sully compares him to Tracy McGrady.

They sure got up for LaQ's three-ball and Weatherspoon's dunk though, didn't they?

i think the only bad part about going into the B1G season is that we wont get to see Weatherspoon's insanely athletic dunks as often now.

I hope he can put some kind of game together and become a starter or at least the 6th man by his senior year. He would be extremely exciting to watch night after night.

Agreed. I also hope that LaQ gets in game shape soon, 'cause I think he'll complement this team very well...his size, combined with his outside shooting range, make him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams.

Jordan Sibert is Jeramie Simmons 2.0. We need one of the young guys to step up!

Coles on Craft: "I've coached for a long time, and I've never got to coach a player like him. I feel cheated."

Paraphrasing, as I can't remember the exact verbage.

What did the coaches have to say about him after the game? Well, I'm glad you asked! Miami coach, Charlie Coles said, "He's unbelievable. He looks so innocent out there. He's so good you just sit back and watch. If I can't have him, I'm going to enjoy watching him play for somebody else."

We'll see. Matta on the radio last nite said Ross is no where near ready to play and said Ross know this also. The kid obviously has a sweet looking stroke. This time of year is tough to get someone ready. So much time spent on preparation for the next game, etc, etc. Not a lot of time to spend trying to get someone involved who hasn't to this point. I honestly don't expect to see him much this year. If by chance he can work himself into it, that would be great. OSU sure could use his perimeter shooting. Certainly a BIG weak area of this team.

I hope you are wrong because this team needs some bench scoring. Sibert has been a disappointment, Thompson and Scott do not get much of an opportunity. Maybe, Ross is the guy .

I was at the game last night and was excited to see Ross get into the game. That said, he looked lost on the court and needed instuction from Siebert a couple of times on where to be, exactly.

I, too hope that he can work on it and earn some PT as we could use an outside scoring threat other than Thomas.

For the record, Jordan's last name is Sibert, not Siebert. Thank you. (it's been spelled wrong by many different posters, so it's not just you, wkfan)

Better odds that Siebert and Weatherspoon will transfer before either would become a starter.

If I was Ross I'd rather be redshirted than play very little, due to being so far behind and being unable to catch up, especially defensively. Did you notice they played a zone when he was in the game so he wouldn't look bad and the other players had to show him where to stand.

No point in redshirting when you can enter the draft at anytime and don't plan on staying 4 years, which I don't see him or any decent player doing.

I think if Sully were to stay one more year, Weatherspoon will stay at OSU his whole career. If Sully goes pro after this year, Weatherspoon leaves.
