Game is at Nationwide, 8:30 tip. Really hope the Buckeyes can put together a complete game going into the B1G season. Probably the last game we'll see the young guys getting any significant time.

I don't know, I see Matta going at least 8-9 deep on a regular basis this season w/Thompson, Sibert, Williams, Ravenel and maybe even Scott getting a lot of PT. Anyway, the Buckeyes win this by 20.

lol

I wasn't being serious. This game won't even be close from the tip. Only chance Miami has is if they kick Sully in the foot, knock out Willy B, and kill Aaron Craft.

He hasn't done it during the OoC schedule, it's hard for me to believe he would start doing it during conference play.

He went 10 deep with plenty of time left and a rallying Florida. I think he went 7 with Duke though?

Correct.
IMO, with Sully's recent ailments and Ravenel being foul prone, Williams will get more PT, and even though Craft is one tough SOB, he's going to need Scott to spell him so he's fresh for close second halves. Sibert has split time with Smith, Jr., and I'm hoping we get to see more of Thompson. Again, jmo.

He used 9 players against Florida, that includes 3 min for Scott and less than a minute for Thompson, so basically, he used 7 players. The only time the young guys have gotten meaningful time, is when they were forced in due to injuries.

the time was short, but the game was most definitely still somewhat in question when they came in against Florida. Thompson made a really dumb turnover and he pulled them out and put the starters back in.

Edit: it was a stupid foul that got them pulled.

Then again you have to remember that was the 2nd game of the season. Probably wanted to see how they would perform on a very large stage. Obviously he wasn't very happy, but it seems they are earning their way back into the rotation by showing value while playing for injured starters.

I think the biggest thing for Thompson is that it seems he will only come in for Buford. I don't think he adds anything over buford, which is probably why we don't see him much.

Matta will use the bench when he can depending on WHO OSU is playing as well as matchups. But when OSU plays the likes of MSU, Wisky, UM...he won't go past 7, maybe 8 at the most.

Sully, Craft, Smith,Jr., Thomas & Buford, w/Ravenel, Sibert & Williams off the bench...and IMO, Scott needs to spell Craft only if Buford is on the floor, 'cause I don't trust Smith,Jr. or Sibert helping him bring the ball up against pressure.

Siebert has and will only get limited time. He has been the biggest disappointment of the returning players IMO. Rav will get minutes as he has. Scott will get a FEW minutes at best to give Craft a blow occasionally. Williams will get a few minutes at best if Rav and Sullinger are healthy. If you follow Matta over the years at OSU, he doesn't vere from this top 5/6 players very much at all. I don't see that changing much, especially in the big games.

Looking at Miami's schedule, they probably not your average 3-6 team. They were in about all of their losses, which included some good teams such as Xavier. The Bucks should still handle their business but I hope they don't underestimate the Red Hawks.

This osu team is one of those teams who plays to the level of their competition pretty much every time out. So frustrating.

These rims are not kind either.

Not very pretty...Ravenel looks like he's regressed, and Sibert is useless to us right now. Starters look good at the start, then seemed to fall back into their chameleon mode. As Jim Jackson said, they lack that killer instinct.

Why can't we crush people early is my only complaint. We shoulda been up on these teams by 18 with 10 left in the first half.

One thing Charlie Coles does, regardless of how bad his team is (and they suck this year) is force you to play his painfully slow pace. Even though OSU is killing them, they still only have like 55.
