Didn't realize they were splitting the hobbit into two movies. Doh.

They are scheduled to be released on 14 December 2012 and 13 December 2013, respectively.[SUP][6][/SUP]

One thing I DO like about them splitting the movie into two segments is that Jackson won't try to squeeze all that into one film. Two films means (hopefully) sticking closer to the story.

It's actually filmed in 3D though, not added in like all the shitty movies. They're using a bunch of the RED EPIC cameras which are insanely awesome cameras. 5K resolution.
