South Carolina just admitted to major violations, where's 1200 articles talking about how they should fire their coach and they deserve the death penalty. We never heard anything regarding Georgia Tech or Boise until the penalties were actually levied. ESPN ignored USC until it was apparent they were going to be punished. North Carolina is clouded in mystery, and while Miami had a couple articles in the beginning, ZILCH.
There's a huge media bias involved against Ohio State. Like I said, enjoy your stepping stone of a program.
Great, not really relevant, but great observation.
The penalties handed out to Ohio State and the timing of such has nothing to do with a media bias. The fact that the media hasn't adopted the angle of the penalties (as discussed by gyea above) is because there's no story to it. OSU had chances to limit the impact and fucked up over and over again.
As mentioned, those news outlets report on what is going to bring the business. There is also the fact that OSU (and its fans) had put itself and its coach on such a pedestal, that naturally when they were exposed as frauds there was going to be interest. Nobody cares when a trucker hires a prostitute, but when a TV evangelist does, it is gonna be news. Why? Because the whole image was a lie. Just like OSU's.
But hey, be glad that OSU finally sold its soul, right? I'm sure it will be a trmendous self-worth boost for you when the guy you hate wins a game to which you have no connection.
