From family, OK. But from anyone other than family... Thanks for sending me something to throw away. I don't get it. WTF do I want a picture of you and your family?

I like getting Christmas cards. They make me feel popular, just like high school.

We don't send Christmas cards because we're not 40+.

LOL. Yeah, right. You can't afford the stamps for the cards, let alone the cards themselves.

Strange. In my experience, it's the upwardly mobile 20-30 somethings who send out all the cards. I was just talking to someone a few days ago about how only young people send Christmas cards now.

FWIW, we send out about 100 each year. With our pictures on them. From my perspective, it's a pretty inexpensive way to remind someone (friend, potential client) that we exist.

Yeah, most of our cards from people our age. It just seems like something that older people would do.

At least we don't get the Christmas "letters" that explain everything that happened in the past year. Those make me puke.

We only send a few and recieve a few in return. Our favorite so far this year is from some family friends whose son just recieved a baseball scholarship at OSU. Their photo on the card is of the four of them standing on the Block O inside the newly revamped baseball satdium. Pretty cool.

Outside of my wife's friends, our cards come from older family members. I retract my last statement. Most of our cards come from older family members.

Honestly, I really have no idea because I don't give a shit about cards and don't look at them. I'll count them up when I get home and post the results. I'm guessing cards from old folks will outnumber cards from people under 40.

I have a friend that sends a christmas poem that is basically a badly rhyming christmas letter. If I didn't liker her so much it would probably be annoying, but I haven't seen her in at least five years and it's nice to get an update on her family. Even if it is kinda cheesy.

I agree with you..we don't send them out since they go right in the trash 99% of the time anyway. It's just that the majority of our cards are from 20-30 somethings, especially those with little kids (they send out the picture cards).

We hang them all up in our house to display for a month or so, just to show people how many fake friends we have. It makes us feel better about ourselves.

lol....for the record, we hang what few we get in case the senders stop by, thereby letting them know that their cards weren't schitcanned pre-Christmas ;)

I like the Christmas family update letters written on the fancy Christmas paper. Reading about Tom's job, Susie's bad back/ensuing surgery and little Tony's cute role as an elf in the school pageant.

Those are the greatest.

You guys sound like a bunch of ungrateful fuckers. I'll bet you hate those pesky phone calls and annoying visits from friends. The nerve of those people, I swear.

Could you imagine being one of the lucky people who receive a Christmas letter from ETB, it would be unlike anything you have ever read and definitely something that you would hang on the mantle for everyone to see.
