Oh Shit.

Now, it gets very interesting....
Who takes over, the generals or his son?
Are the people that over rational, or are they willing to roll the dice more than they have already?

Prolly not, but man now comes a time of unknown, as no one has any idea how North Korea will transition to a new leadership.

I thought his son would take his place and that may mean more of the same from North Korea, which won't be good for anyone.

Not confirmed his son will take over. His son is in his 20s, and may not have the full support of the generals.
It is unknown if the Generals will take over, or the son. Even if the son takes over, it is unknown if he will try and do something flashy to gain the support of the military.
Worst case, they destroy another South Korean ship, leading to higher tensions, and the young Kim does not know when to stop leading to a fracture in the country, leading to its collapse.

This year we've seen bin Laden, Kim Jong Il, and Gaddafi all die.

He may just be a token leader for the Generals, I don't see him fighting with the generals over power, which could cause an uprising that neither side wants. It will be interesting to see what the people of the country do in the next couple of weeks, there could be protesting and demonstrations which will just make things worse for both sides and send the country in to a civil war.

When are you going to leave?

We didn't see Kim Jong Il die either. Very few saw Gaddafi die.

but we do have pictures to verify...there is as much evidence that he died from kidney disease years ago as there is of the US getting him.

We did not see Michael Jackson die either, but we do have photos of him sleeping with little boys to verify.

Nothing is going to change in N. Korea anytime soon, mainly because of China. It's in their best interest to keep the status quo!
