Movies that don't get enough credit

Heartbreak Kid (on TV right now)
Sum of All Fears
My cousin Vinny (I know it got the awards, but rarely do you really hear it come up in funniest movies convo)

I wasn't big on the plot, just thought it had hilarious moments

My Blue Heaven is great.

Gladiator (with Cuba Gooding jr and James Marshal) is a great movie. Awesome movie and cast yet not many even know about it. I have always had a chip on my shoulder about the Russell Crowe movie since they stole the name.

Night on Earth is a largely unrecognized classic. Brilliant film.

As far as horror movies go...I think The Strangers is amazing because of the tension. It was panned by critics too.

Basic. Great cast and plot, yet it got very little publicity.

Comedy - My Cousin Vinny/Maverick (I am stunned both of those are already listed. I thought of them before opening the thread lol)
Action - Rules of Engagement (Tommy Lee Jones and Sam Jackson...yet dont usually ever hear of it).
Drama - Sleepers
Whatever - A River Runs Through It

Sleepers and A River Runs Through It are my favorite 2 Brad Pitt movies actually.

Good underrated movie. The movie had a stellar cast: Willis, SJP, Tom Sizemore, Dennis Farina, Robet Pastorelli, Timothy Busfield, Andre Braher, John Mahoney among others. I thought the setting on the three rivers surrounding Pittbsugh was great.

P.S. Someone's going to tell me have to have my examined, but I think SJP never looked any better than she did in this one. Back in 1993 she had a pretty rocking body and her face did not see as "horse-ish" as it does now.

Definitely hottest in 1993. Hocus Pocus days.

Speaking of, Emily Binx from Hocus Pocus turned out to be a smoking hot actress. Jodie Rivera, better known as YouTube sensation VenetianPrincess:
