I'd imagine Boobie/AP playing back-up point.

Manny Harris was waived... Unless you're asking if they'll sign him for the rest of the year...

Byron said on his radio show that they were likely to re-sign Manny Harris

This organization is doing some great things, hopefully they can finally have some luck in the draft with a pick other than the #1 overall. If they can't move up this year I'd like to see them trade the LA pick or their 2nd rounder for a 2013 first rounder.

Just Imagine This Lineup:

PG- Kyrie Irving
SG- Austin Rivers
SF- Antawn Jamison
PF- Tyler Zeller
C- Anderson Varejáo

If you keep on building with young players and through the draft, this team is a keeper for years to come.

Uh, Tyler Zeller would not start over Tristan Thompson and why the hell is Jamison on the team? Gee is our SF with Casspi backing him up.

Cavs will release Jason Kapono and are re-signing Manny Harris for the rest of the year.

Quality move.

I'll play the "throw a random lineup for next year out there" game.

Irving/Machado (2nd round pick)
Lamb (Cavs lottery pick)/Gee
Nic Batum (FA)/Terrence Jones (1st round pick via using Lakers pick + (insert possible trade piece here) to trade up)
TT/Andrew Nicholson (2nd round pick via New Orleans)
Andy/Spencer Hawes (FA)

Completely unrealistic, but I don't care. We will have 4 picks in the top 40. I'm very hesitant to start both TT and Andy, since they bring the same things to the table and both severely lack in offensive ability. Also very lacking in outside shooting overall. But there would be a lot of young talent on this team.

I love this potential draft class. Can't wait to see who comes out.

Is Nicholas Batum really worth the money to sign? He and Gee are putting up similar stats and I think Gee is a bit better defender because he plays a bit more physical.

I wouldn't mind drafting Terrence Jones with the Lakers' pick though. He has so much potential, but sometimes he mentally disappears in games. I think a coach like Byron Scott would do wonders for him because he demands the best out of his players and has the pedigree to do it.

Difference is Batum is/was playing with Aldridge, Crawford, G-Wallace, Felton, and Matthews who are all also double-digit scorers. The Blazers are balanced. On the Cavs he would be asked to do more, and I think he has the ability to do that. He's not much of a passer, but I think he could be a solid 15-16 ppg guy and a decent 2nd or great 3rd option offensively. Solid outside shooter with a pretty good mid-range game.

Also, he's is an extremely versatile defender and solid on that side of the ball. He's not much of a dropoff from Gee defensively, if at all.

But again, it won't happen. I don't see any reason why Portland wouldn't match him (he's an RFA) especially considering they just dumped Wallace.

I kind of hope the Cavs give Terrence Williams a look...

Fair enough. But you could also say those guys are protecting Batum and getting him better looks as well.. Outside of Kyrie and sometimes Jamison, Gee is the only player on the Cavs with a legit ability to create his own shot.

I just hope the Cavs aren't in as much love with Asik as it's been reported.

It seems the Cavs had some interest in OJ Mayo as they had some form of discussion with Memphis. If Memphis lets Mayo go in the offseason, I think the Cavs could target him as well.

You sign Mayo, draft a guy like Lamb and Jones, or a similar duo, and place those guys with Kyrie, T2, Andy, and Gee and I think you have the makings of a very good young nucleus.

Yes. I'm far from an Ohio state fan but he can create his own shot and as long as he's not the main guy he's a damn good player. He would be the third guy in Cleveland which would be perfect for him.

I disagree. If Buford is our 3rd guy I'm disappointed and so are the Cavs.

Buford cant even consistently be the 3rd option for OSU, but he's magically going to fit in and be fine for the Cavs?

Yep. Buford isnt worth a 1st round pick

A kid that I do like is Royce White at Iowa State, I know hes had some problems and I'm not even sure if hes going to come out but I would be ok with the Cavs using the Lakers pick on him. Terrence Jones is a pretty big kid and White had his way with him last night.

There will be some big time talent in the second round the Cavs can choose from. Guys like Holloway, Crowder, Joseph, DJO. I'd love to see Holloway grabbed as a backup PG since he is so similar to Kyrie there wouldn't be a change in the offense at all.

Tristan Thompson playing possessed right now.. Has around 14 points or so and a very nice block.. Still 7 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter.
