Was listening to 92.3 on the way home and they said in a previous interview with Jamison that he said he was "surprised" and had "never been around a team that built up this kind of camaraderie so fast."

I agree Tooth. He's probably gone after his rookie contract.

Way too negative.

It's a good thing that this is a deep draft, I don't see the Cavs getting a top 5 pick

Agreed. There are at least 5, if not more, teams that will likely be worse than them.

Not that stuff like this means anything, but
UPDATE: According to The News-Herald, Byron Scott told Varejao during their road trip that he would not be traded this season.

"It's a good thing when your coach says something like that," Varejao said. "It helps you a lot. You can just focus on basketball. I'm happy here and I want to stay here."

I really doubt Kyrie is leaving anytime soon. He honestly seems like a down to earth kid and he's got a pretty good relationship with Scott and Gilbert.

He wanted the Cavs to take him #1. He's good friends with Thompson and Thompson LOVES Cleveland.

Kyrie is ridiculously good though. He was compared to CP3, but his jumpshot is already better than CP3's ever was as a rookie and I'd have to look at the #'s to be sure, but I think his jump shooting is better than CP3's today as well.

Kyrie has instantly improved the Cavs, so much so that the rebuilding project most likely isn't going to take the 4 or 5 years many thought it would. I think the Cavs can be a legit team within 3 seasons as long as they make the right moves.

Irving has been solid for sure! I'm watching a replay tonight and gosh there is nobody at this Bobcats game. The crowd is so quiet! Not hard to figure out, there are zero interesting players on this team. Kemba Walker is about as intriguing as they get. DJ White and something called Derrick Brown was getting a ton of burn

so why are you watching it? I thought you only watched "good" basketball?

Have you looked around the dial? Nothing is on! I am flipping back and forth between this and the Celtics - Thunder game.

Why so confrontational?

You are a douche. Pretty simple.

Moving on. I like the way the Cavs are looking. I still see them getting a top 10 pick though. Imagine if the Clippers weren't able to make that trade for CP3. Cavs are going to have a lot of draft picks for the next 3-4 years. I sure hope they make the right picks.

Amazing to me that the Celtics have a worse record than the Cavs at this point in the season.

Eh not me.

The C's are OLD as fuck. They've been old for a few years now and it's starting to get them. Of course, they will still be a top 3-4 team in the East(although if wouldn't surprise me if they weren't). They are just so old this year.

I mean their 4 wins are against Washington, NJ, and Detroit.

Also, what happened with AP today? Only see that he played 9 minutes?

I felt like I've thought this way the past 2 seasons and the Celtics still managed to prove me wrong. Last two seasons they have seemed to start out strong then play mediocre ball until the postseason. This might be the season where they finally fall off.

I agree.

It's basically just Rondo running around and the other guys getting scrap points. lol

Wasn't able to watch the game today, but I was surprised by this blurp in the write up; "Omri Casspi played a big role in Cleveland’s second half comeback with 14 points and seven rebounds with most of his damage coming in the third quarter."

Then I realized it was against the bobcats.... lol

I'm going to cut Casspi some slack. He's still not 100% healthy from his knee surgery, but the past couple of games he's looked a bit better...

Up until this point, he's mainly been a spot up shooter. In Sacramento he attacked the basket in addition to his shooting. He doesn't look like he's in as good of shape due to the knee surgery either..

LOL...Chuck Booms (92.3) has already annointed Irving as "the next Isiah Thomas." SMH

And I think Casspi will be fine.

I was looking at who the free agents will be for this coming offseason. The Cavs will have some open cap space. What do you think about some of these guys?

Ian Mahinmi (PF/C) - Unrestricted - His role has increased this year in Dallas. Averaging 8ppg/6rpg in 19 minutes. Still only 25 and played OK in the finals when forced into action. Cavs were reportedly interested in him last year.

Landry Fields (SG/SF) - Unrestricted - His numbers have dropped some in his 2nd year. I think he is a player comparable to Parker, but is younger with fresher legs and more size.

Ersan Ilyasova (SF/PF) - Unrestricted - He is losing some of his playing time this year, but is a versatile player than can stretch the floor. Has disappointed a little the last 2 years after looking pretty good when the Bucks made the playoffs in 2009/2010.

Nic Batum (SF) - Restricted - Very long, athletic player. Can shoot and play defense. He is restricted so would probably have to grossly overpay for the Blazers not to match.

OJ Mayo (SG) - Restricted - Has seemed to fall out of favor in Memphis over the last 2 years. I think he could be had this offseason, his name has been rumored in trades as well. Averaged 18 ppg his first 2 years. Can score the basketball, but is a little undersized and not a terrific athlete to defend elite wings. Still young. When he gets minutes, his #'s look pretty good. Not sure how I feel about him as a player.

I would be very intrested in Mayo or Batum. I've loved Mayo's game since he came out of HS. Fields I see as an ok option but wouldnt be overly excited about it. Ersan is terrible every time I watch him. Takes bad shots and just chucks up garbage.

Don't think I'd really want any of those guys. Mayo would probably be the next Larry Hughes.

If the Cavs don't get a top 5 pick what does everyone think about Fab Melo? He's been under the radar so far.

If Irving continues to play the way he is playing, the Cavs are a playoff team. Book it.
