Crazy.
That fight last night between Hayder Hassan vs Vicente Luque was crazy. Easily fight of the season. Luque won Rd 1, but I think Hassan did enough in Rd 2 to force a 3rd Rd. Int he 3rd Rd, I had Hassan over Luque as well. Both guys battled bravely. It was sad there had to be a loser.
ATT coming back and winning the season after being down as bad as they were is crazy. I kinda feel bad for the Blackzillians, because it should have been over last week. Jason Jackson had Michael Graves beat. How in the world the ref didn't stop that fight is behind me. Graves was turtling and taking shots left & right. But props to Graves... he still fought back and submitted Jackson. Yeah there might have been 2-3 'fouls' on Jackson that fight like Dana said, but you know what... they weren't called and they were calls that could have gone either way. The blatant non-stoppage is just inexcusable. Jackson was PUMMELING Graves. But I guess you could just as easily say, well Jason obviously didn't knockout Michael, and you know what, you'd be absolutely right.
If I had to rank the fighters from this season, I'd rank 'em:
#5 TOSS-UP: Carrington Banks (BZ) (1-0) or Michael Graves (ATT) (1-1) or Nathan Coy (ATT) (1-1)
#3/4 Interchangeable between Vicente Luque (BZ) (1-1) and Jason Jackson (BZ) (1-1) - slight edge to Luque because of his performance against Hassan
#2 Kamaru Usman (BZ) (2-0)
#1 Hayder Hassan (ATT) (3-0)
I think the got the Final right between Hassan vs. Usman. I think Hassan might be the real-deal. I think if you put him up tho against a true wrestler/bjj, he could get owned; but Hassan just has that 'I will NOT lose' mentality that you just don't see to often in guys.
Should be a good Final.
I like Luque fighting Graves in the Final as well. That should be a good matchup. Wish they had more guys from the show fighting, instead of a bunch of guys that weren't on the show fighting.
