Shields gets the first round submission. He took one hard jab then got the takedown and an almost instant mount.

Good win for Shields, he is still one of the ten best in the world easily at 170.

Not for Verdum haha. He gets Hunt in a five round fight. He should be able to weather the storm and submit him when he gases.

I've been waiting for Cain/Werdum for months. Lol, oh well. I'm getting used to the injuries by now I guess.

Hunt said he has to cut from 305 to 265. Said he doesn't stay in fighting shape all year round and he doesn't have enough time for a camp but couldn't pass up a title shot. He also said he's hoping it doesn't go past round 1 lol. Dude is a boss.

Jesus man Cain could be such a huge star, imagine is he was fighting 2-3 times per year consistently. He has fought 5 times since the end of 2014 when he beat Brock against only 2 opponents, his prime is basically being lost to injuries. Anyone notice how many more injuries there are especially to champions since the UFC implemented the insurance policy?

*2010

I think champs get injured more because their schedule is so busy. You're not just training then fighting. You have to train while doing media and appearances. I think the packed schedule leads to more injures. Less to time off and more stress are a killer.

Thanks lol Yeah basically they don't stay in shape, then they get back into camp 20 pounds heavy and get hurt because it's too much stress on their bodies. Nick and NAte Diaz stay in shape and train year round and they have never pulled out of a fight due to injury.
