Lentz and Manny should be way higher on the card, pretty good event though.

I had it 1, 2, and 5 for Hendricks.

One judge had the 2nd round 10-8 Hendricks and the 5th 10-10.

I agree 1 2 5 for Hendricks. The judge who gave Hendricks a 10-8 round in the second should never be allowed to judge an event again

if anything 3rd was a 10-8 Lawler, but I didn't think any round deserved a 10-8. Also didn't see how 5th could be 10-10, thought it was clearly Hendricks.

I'm looking forward to Hendricks fighting Woodly and Lombard. I wonder if Lombard can go past the first if he doesn't get the finish, same with Woodly, his cardio is questionable.

Both of those guys will gas after round one, fights won't even be competitive.

Good question, no real clear cut number one contender right now.

Yeah I'm not sure what they are gonna do. I don't think any of them can win against Hendricks really, but that's why they fight.

I think Woodly might talk his way into a title shot. I hope he does.

Woodley on Robbie Lawler: There was no controversy. One of the judges scored it like an idiot, but everybody, including Robbie, thought it was 2-2 going into the final round. I think he eased up on the gas in the last 90 seconds. I’m bummed for the kid, but it was clear cut. No controversy. Maybe he wins one fight and he’s right back there.

On Hector Lombard: He had a great performance over Jake Shields. Granted, he beat Nate Marquardt, but I think Nate Marquardt was softened up for him by Tarec Saffiedine and Jake Ellenberger. I think he’s on his way out. He got a victory over Shields, but Shields is ranked No. 6. I think Carlos Condit was ranked No. 2. Based on merit and marketability, I’m ahead of Hector.

On Rory MacDonald: He lost to Robbie Lawler. He lost to Carlos Condit, who I just beat. He had the opportunity to fight for the world title against Georges St-Pierre and didn’t take it. I was prepared to fly out and meet with Robbie Lawler [had he won the title], have lunch with him and talk about it. I was prepared to fight not just my training partner, but my friend. I wanted to see him win the title. The willingness to honor my contract as a fighter in the fight business and be willing to fight a teammate under world title circumstances puts me in a better position than him.

On Nick Diaz: He’s never beat a wrestler. If he does get a title shot, I think Johny Hendricks will own him. He hasn’t won a fight since 2011. He had the opportunity to fight Carlos Condit, and thank God he didn’t because I got a chance to go in and do what he couldn’t do, which was beat Carlos Condit. He wants to sit back and watch the drama and then jump back in. This is not like a girl jumping double Dutch rope, step in when you feel like it. This is the fight business. You’re either in it or you’re not, and he’s been out of it.

Hell of a spin job by Woodley, quite the sales pitch.

Lol at Woodley acting like he finished Condit on merit instead of an injury that wasn't the result of him fighting well but just Condit's body failing.

Condit got hurt because he was being pressured and can't stop a take down. Injury or not, Woodly was winning the fight and probably would've gotten the decision win.

Condit was actually the one who was pressuring, for Woodley to act like he meant to hurt Condit with that takedown is just ridiculously arrogant and annoying.

I thought Woodley was soundly winning that fight, if not dominating up to the point it got stopped. Zero debate over who won the first round, and who was winning the second round. The only thing you can say is that Woodley would have gassed and Carlos would have finished him in the 3rd, which is a strech IMO.

I totally agree with the bold - he definitely didn't mean to hurt him with the take down. But if Condit could sprawl it never would've happened.

He was in no way dominating it. He landed some shots but nothing devastating and he didn't have a really high volume either. 2nd round was already looking more even so we can't really say what would have happened.

It's not even like with Silva where the freak injury was due to a well timed and executed check which does sometimes hurt the other fighter. Condit just fell weird. Take it out of the context of the fight, if Condit had a 10-8 round in the first and then this happened would you say Woodley had won the fight or that sometimes people's body's give out? I'd say the latter.

If you stopped and scored the fight at the moment Woodley likely gets the nod but that doesn't mean it isn't silly that he's trying to take credit for "finishing" Condit.

Sometimes that shit just happens, maybe it had a small tear from training or something. I'm usually of the opinion that unless it was like a catastrophic injury that it was bound to happen at some point.

Henricks tore his bicep in training before the Lawler fight and now is getting surgery. He should be out two or three months. It might not be the worst thing as now some of the contenders can fight and clear up the title picture a little.

He was winning, but people are overreacting on the performance imo. He landed two big right hands and hand a few takedowns which he did nothing with. In between there were huge periods of inactivity and he blatantly cheated grabbing Condit's shorts to prevent a triangle. He was winning the fight up until that point but he had already slowed down and gassed and Condit was beginning to land combinations on him. Can't blame him for wanting a title shot, strike while the iron is hot. Unfortunately it looks like Hendricks is going to be out 8 months.

Saw the highlights again on UFC tonight. Good lord, Condit has a chin on him. The first right hand he got hit with was like the Rashad/Chuck punch. No idea how he ate those.

I'd like to see condit fight lawler - that would be amazing.

Also - i'd like to see lombard fight either Rory or Twood before they announce who gets the next shot.

Looks like you may end up getting your wish with Hendricks being out 8 months, they might as well do a little tourney to sort it all out.

Condit probably has the best chin in the division. Ate everything Hendricks could hit him with as well. I could watch him fight every card.
