It's time for Chael to give Vince McMahon a call I think.

I love watching Big Country. I was pretty disappointed in Bones/Sonnen. I didn't think Sonnen would win but I thought he would do better than that. I just hope Bones winning puts the Silva/Bones super fight closer to happening.

After what I saw last night, Jones would run through Anderson Silva.

I don't know how you envision it playing out, but Jon took Chael Sonnen down THREE times in one round with ease. I picture Jon taking down Anderson easily and putting heavy ground and pound on him until they stop the fight. Jon is just too big and athletic.

I just think Silva is the type of fighter who can find a way to win. I see why you see it happening the way you do but I can't see anyone putting Silva away easily.

I mean it's all about match ups, Chael took Anderson down repeatedly and pummeled him. Jon's ground and pound is a lot better and more vicious than Chael's/ I just think it's a horrible match up for Anderson.

I mean you can never count out Anderson, but I see that going very badly for him.

Jones would absolutely dominate Silva, especially at this point in their careers... When you see how easily Chael was able to take Anderson down, imagine what Jones, who is quicker, stronger, longer, and more dominating than Chael is, would do to Silva?

There is nobody outside of some of the bigger HW's who could truly challenge Jones right now.

Jones dominated Chael at his own game.. That's the sign of a true great.

Oh yeah. I mean I realize Bones is an athletic freak but it's just hard for me to think about someone walking through Silva.

I agree with pretty much all you said. I've said for a while now that the only guy at LHW with the skill set to POSSIBLY beat Jon is Lyoto Machida. He possesses the elite striking and take down defense to make it interesting, only problem is that Jon is wayyyyy bigger than him. Jon is essentially a HW fighting at LHW, and holds all the physical advantages but what makes him truly great is that he has the elite skills to go with those physical tools.

Belfort did a pretty good job if I remember correctly. He obviously didn't win but it's been the closest I can remember to thinking "wow Bones may lose." I remember Machida winning the first round but that is pretty much it from that fight.

Belfort nearly got the arm bar, but got dominated for the rest of the fight. Lyoto was winning the fight until Jon landed a take down and cut his forehead open.

I'll have to go back and watch the Belfort fight again I guess. I wouldn't imagine I would remember thinking Belfort had a shot to win simply from grabbing one arm bar. I seem to remember having some good exchanges with Bones or something.

Belfort caught Jones napping with that armbar... Once Jones escaped, he dominated Belfort.. It was the only time Jones has been in any real trouble...

Rumor is that Silva called Dana and requested a fight last night. I can only imagine it would be with GSP or Bones. When does Silva fight Weidman? 161?

Who everyone got this weekend Ill Take

Belfort
Souza ( since its in Brazil)
Dunham in the upset
Natal

Thesefights could really all go either way which should make for a good card

Vitor early KO
Souza will steamroll Camozzi imo
Dos Anjos in a close one
Natal

These Brazil cards seem to lack a ton of big names but always deliver great fights.

I am not a fan of TRT and want Rockhold to win but I predict Belfort by early TKO.
Also am going w/Souza, Dunham, Natal.
