Makes sense that it was Diaz since his camp said there will be no rematch even though Condit agreed to one.

I hope not but I could see a year long suspension from the NSAC. Sucks that this is the reason we won't get to see the rematch. I know Nick has a prescription for weed in California, and normally just quits smoking 10 days out from the fight to cleanse his system.

Either way it's really stupid for an athlete to be smoking pot.

Stupid yes but it's harmless. It's not a PED, TRT is way worse, not even close. Nick will have to deal with the consequences though and we probably won't see him for a year.

I know it's harmless but this is just another example of Diaz not doing it the way he should be. This isn't even one of those "oh he doesn't like to jump through hoops, he just likes to fight" type things, dude knows perfectly well that you can't do this and did it anyway because he seems to think rules are for other people to follow. Don't know if he actually believes that but he appears to act that way.

It's disappointing too because the dude puts on entertaining fights.

Isn't Nick prescribed to Medical Marijuana?

I'm disappointed in Nick, it was selfish because his fans won't get to see him for a year now more than likely. He has always used before fights, he just stops 10 days out, maybe he made a mistake this time.

So the main reason people get a weed prescription is as a pain killer or to "forget the pain" or chronic diseases and you want to make me believe it offers NO advantage to a fighter who is getting punched/kicked?

Weed is not only a pain killer but also numbs the mind to pain (as in you don't care as much). I'm sorry, but that has SOME (I didn't say a huge) advantage to a fighter.

It doesn't matter, Chris Leben was suspended for testing positive for oxycodone and he had a perscription.

You have to be clear of pain killers prior to a fight. Not that you aren't aloud to take pain killers during training, but they have to be out of your system by fight time.

Mir vs Cain should be awesome. I'd like to see Mir win and get the next shot at a title.

Made sense with them both coming off of wins, but this is a sweet match up

Unless he was high while fighting then it wouldn't do shit for him. Weed is mostly prescribed to people to make them have an appetite not as a pain killer anyways. I smoke and I can tell you there's no way it could help you in the UFC only hinder you. It would offer no advantage what so ever. You also don't feel the effects very long. I could smoke a blunt to the face three hours b4 a fight and be sober by the time the fight started I'm not sure I've ever heard it prescribed as a pain killer it's usually prescribed to lower eye pressure, help with nausea, or to make a patient eat.

I believe he is prescribed because of his anxiety, can you imagine how he would be without the medical weed lol

that'd be awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing him on the same card as Evans and Jones and then fighting the winner.
