Def was an early stoppage, the head kick landed with the toes not the shin and he was still coherent enough to brace himself on both elbows as he fell. Rumble still would have won and probably finished him but it was premature. Great night of fights overall, Cruz looked off but I think the pace of Mighty Mouse had a lot to do with that, was impressed with his wrestling and ground game overall. Struve finally used his length and did exactly what he needed to do, that transition from the guillotine to the triangle was beautiful. Thought he was gonna get wrecked on that slam though lol.

My opinion they gave submission of the night to the wrong man.

It should have gone to either Paul Sass with that heal hook or to TJ Grant with that transition from guillotine to armbar.

Fight of the night might have also been Grant's fight, many amazing grappling transitions for both fighters.

I don't know if this has been touched on or not but this February the UFC will be putting on two live cards, a free show in Japan that leads directly into a pay per view here in Vegas. Dana white said that both cards will be stacked. Unreal the things they are going to do in the next year or so. Look for former pride legends and Japanese stars to get on that card in Japan. Rampage, Shogun, Dan Henderson, Wanderlei, Akiyama, Nog brothers. Hell it wouldn't even surprise me to see Shinya Aoki signed along with King Mo when he comes over from strikeforce and see them both on that. Can't wait to see what happens.

I don't see Alexander Gustafsson being a threat to Bones.

Bones is just as young and is already far ahead of Alex in terms of overall ability. I think people don't realize how much more improvement Jones actually has in him.

Besides, the dude is from Sweden and has a lame ass tattoo.

It's not that Bones is far above him or anyone else in technique, it's that his athleticism and length set him apart from everyone else. Tough riddle to crack.

I never realized just how big Jones was for LHW until the Rampage fight. Rampage has always been a good sized LHW and Jones looked huge compared to him.

Forrest is never going to be a title contender again, but I'd like to see Jones and him next to each other as Forrest has been known as the "huge" LHW cutting a lot of weight for a long time.

Jones is huge in the shoulders area but I would bet that Forrest outweighed him at walk around weight. Jones is very smart and uses his tools to his advantage as any great fighter should. I think we will see him at heavyweight in the next few years.

He will have to put on a lot of muscle weight to compete at heavy weight.

So far, the best part of TUF has been the way Bisping constantly seems to have a stick up his ass, while Miller's having fun. Which has led to Miller's team being 2-0, while Bisping's are trying to kill each other in practice.

Other than that, the fight last night was kinda blah. Winner had a bad hand, so he went for the takedown and control method of winning and his opponent couldn't do anything to stop it.

Wow. "Bones" vs. Machida. That's every bit as exciting/big as "Bones" vs. Rashad would have been. I saw on Jones' Twitter account that after this fight he will have fought "3 [ex]champions in one year, What a great challenge.. Feeling alive." I don't care who you are... THAT'S IMPRESSIVE.

This is his fourth fight this year as well, extremely impressive. I'm a huge fan of Machida but I really wanted him to have another fight before getting a title shot, would have rather seen him wait and fight Phil Davis and get another W. This is an extremely interesting match up however. Machida is the only guy I think has a chance against Jones, he is the king of timing, distance and footwork. Question is will Jones' reach negate all of that.

Keep an eye on Johnny Bedford, ex wrestler from Woodmore! Thought he looked good last night but very interested to see how he does against some of the bigger guys in his class.

We are in the golden age of MMA, every single event from here on out is going to be ridiculously stacked, there's just too much talent not to be. Hats off to Dana and the UFC, they always deliver. Jones vs Machida is the best fight you can make at 205 imo and could be epic.
