This is the best card Strikeforce has ever put together, atleast 8 great fights tonight. Surprised Belfort would accept a fight against Le, not sure that moves him closer to a title shot but that is an exciting match up.

Agree about tonight's SF card. I think it does for Belfort, Le was a SF champion and is well regarded. Yes like Jmog stated he hasn't had the opportunity to fight top tier guys and he isn't getting any younger but I think fighting Cung Le is respectiveful towards a move at a title shot, for both guys.

Le isn't elite due to the fact that he hasn't fought in the UFC and wasn't known (still isn't until he came onto Strikeforce). Dude has some skills and his sweeps and kicks are flat out nasty. This will be an interesting matchup.
I dont think Cung Le has been very impressive since he started making movies but a few years ago damn did he look good.

BTW I think Barnett is the best HW not in the UFC and is better then Overeem. I can't wait for the fights tonight. He just couldnt get past Cro Cop or Nog earlier in his career.

Really wanted Gracie to win, his stand up defense is really raw though, he should have been trying to get it to the ground somehow. I don't like King Mo, he is really arrogant and I hope he gets matched up against Rampage at some point so they can settle that beef.

Cormier looked pretty good. The title fight was horrible. They better hope there isn't a unification fight with Spider. He would beat both of them together. Ha

WHat do you think will happen with strikefore. With most of their top talent gradually going to the UFC how much longer will it be around. The guys in the HW tourney both have said they ant to fight in the ufc. I figure you pretty much cut 80%-85% of the fighters and just move on

It will be merged with the UFC by early 2012 just like the WEC was, quite a but of talent too and many more great match ups to be made from it.

Im not sure how much talent there is there. Besides the hw division most of the weight classes only have 2-3 people worthy of the ufc

2-3 guys in each division still adds a lot of depth to the UFC
