The OC is much better currently.

However, up to about three years ago or so JJ's was really good. There were less alternative sites and the board was full of content. It was nothing for threads to get over 100 replies each. The high school discussion at that time was really good as well. That being said, I did not like all the censorship over at JJ's back then and I certainly disagreed with how some people got away with stuff while others where penalized severely.

I never paid over at JJ. Member since early 2001 and was grandfathered in until the meltdown.

That was like me. Member since early 00 or 01, banned in 05 or 06, came back when the site went free again in 08 or so, banned repeatedly during the meltdown period. Strangely (or perhaps sadly), I have as many posts in two years here as I did with two usernames over there spread out over 6+ years.

I never paid and rarely posted on jj... just a lurker being informed about high school sports info. I know many on here have a hard on for AAF, but he was from my home town, so I was updated constantly with events from my hometown (I do not know who he is/was) So for that alone, I miss the old high school site... never went to the STI forum there. I enjoy the lolz here though a great deal in the serious business forum. Most of my posts deal with food and beverage in some manner.
