His wife doesn't respect him so that's doubtful.

In-laws probably don't respect you since you make less than their daughter.

That actually didn't make the story better. We all stopped caring 2 pages ago.

No the fact I have a MBA, Phd, and pursuing my JD makes my day tolerable.

I just can't wait until one of your other stories that nobody gives a fuck about though. They are very entertaining!

I thought we were the same person? Nice to see you admit to that fail after grasping onto that for awhile. I see you found another fail to grasp on.

I'm a ginger? Nice to know that you're reaching for hair color as a comeback (lol). Glad to see you have nothing, just admit your fail and move along.

There seemed to be decent conversation going on about the subject.

A guy goes to his therapist and says "Doctor! Help me! I made the worst Freudian slip last night at dinner with my mother in law!"
The doctor says "It can't be that bad, what did you say?"
The man says "Well, I meant to say 'can you please pass the potatoes' but it came out as 'can't you see you've ruined our lives you poisonous bitch?!'"

We're paying for the wedding ourselves ( a little help from my parents) bc she's mad that when she called me and her daughter cheap, I said no we just don't feel obligated to support your son like you do. Ever since then the talking has been minimal.

** the premise of said conversation was her brother tried to get us to buy ****ty insurance off him that was nearly twice what I pay and her mother thought I should bc he's family.
Sounds like my wife's family...her parents enable both my brother and sister-in-law's bad decisions. Brother-in-law has only held a job for a maximum of about 6 months since HS, and he didn't graduate HS he had to have the army help him get a G(ood) E(nough) D(iploma). He has a kid that he has only seen maybe 3 times in 6 years, and is always begging for money.

My sister-in-law had 3 kids ranging from 14 years to 1 year with 3 different guys. Only one of the guys was she married to, and her 2nd kid is from a guy that she cheated on her 1st husband with. She has also been married 3 times and engaged 2 other times. She also believes everyone owes her and is always taking handouts from mom/dad.

My wife is the only normal person in the family, my wife gets along better with my mom and dad than her parents and while both of our sets of parents live within 3 miles of us we see my parents 10x more often.

That is my marriage to a "T". My wife and I refuse to let her brother or sister borrow money, and they have got to know not even to ask us. My wife knows how bad her brother and sister are, and while she still loves them and is around them, has no problem putting them in their place if they do something stupid.

You need to come up with an excuse to go over there and then spill pop all over them.

Her brother was a manger of a restaurant and made decent money that was pretty good for someone with no education. But he quit for a job selling insurance and makes half of what he did before.. all b/c the restaurant was "too stressful". He refers to it as the best decision he's ever made...even though he has a wife and 2 daughters to support, and half of an income missing.

Mama bear was pretty good at advertising and made very good money with her company, so her son has no shame in mooching off her.

Z4P,

Marriage changes everything buddy. This is likely the first of many issues you'll post about.

Then, once you think you're getting a grip on things, kids come and things REALLY change.

You are never going to be able to change the dynamics of her family. You can only set parameters as to what you are willing to tolerate from them. Keep it within those boundries and ignore the rest of the shit that goes on with them.

Do you want me to make arrangement so he can use the control with his thumbs? Need picture and address bring down to Jimmy's :D

If this asshole mom is around 59-60 years old I most likely dated her. :D I would be in your best interest not to mention you know me:D ... Oh wait you don't:)
