Who gets their first win, let alone their first conference win?
Both had tough overtime losses last week.

Orrville has never played especially well on the road in their OCC existence. Still early in the season and just don't know what kind of effort team will put forth.
Orrville will try to do it with athletes and hope someone finds a hot hand.

I never like to use the refs as an excuse, but when we travel west to play our OCC league games...we get the shaft BAD! I expect Ashland to get plenty of opportunities from the charity stripe early and often.

Ashland is the only team I know that gets homered at home!

Isaac White (Fr) had a great game for Ashland the other night. He is one of those special players that comes through a program once a decade. It will be interesting to see how he matches up against an athletic Orrville team.

Old Rider.....everyone has a biased view about their team when it comes to officiating . So when I make this statement please take in the good nature it is intended. I'm not looking for blog fight (ha, ha). But I know the OCC teams from the "west" feel the same as you whenever they come to Orrville for a game. It's not the fact either way and I do feel that since the "League Office" started scheduling officials for all league games instead of the home school, the "fairness & consistency" of the officaiting overall has gotten better in the league no matter where you were playing. I just always find it amusing when a fan base thinks their team gets homered at certain places because generally those fans think the same thing when they come to your place. Good luck at Ashland on Friday .

Ashland Arrows
Conference: Ohio Cardinal
Conference
Coach: Tim Fralick
Last year: 2-19
Key personnel: Greg Gallaway (5-10, Sr., G, 10.2 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 2.1 apg), Marquise Jones (6-0, Sr., G, 8.3, ppg, 2.4 rpg), Zach Bernhard (6-3, Sr., F, 5.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg), Brandon Nardo (6-4, Sr., F, 10.4 ppg, 8.4 rpg), Drew Delaney (Jr., G, 2.6 ppg), Cooper Moretz (Sr., G, 6.3 ppg), Ryan Sullivan (Sr., F), Ryan Marquette (Sr., F), Isaac White (Fr, G).
Outlook: The Arrows struggled last season, coach Tim Fralick's first, but return an athletic and experienced group of lettermen. Ashland might start slow as most of their returning lettermen were members of the playoff-qualifying football team. Forward Brandon Nardo is one of the OCC's top rebounders and guard Greg Gallaway is deceptively quick. Guard Marquise Jones can create his own shot and forward Zach Bernhard brings toughness in the post.
"As a team, we need to do a better job of taking quality shots," Fralick said. "We are a fast-breaking team, but with that being said, we need to pull it out if we don't have a good early look."

Oh I know! High school officiating in general...STINKS. But I am not an official and I respect the time they put in to be out there, but some of them are just plain aweful!

Ha, Ha.....yes there are some that are pretty bad. I am not an official either, but like you I respect the fact that we have guys (and gals) that will do it. As a coach I always thank them no matter what because we couldn't have the game without them

Congratulations Arrows!
Went to the Basketball Game and watched a Football Game, another fine officiating mess.
