This is pretty wide open and will come down to who interviews best. The candidates come from a lot of different backgrounds ... Durbin intriguing w/ great family background and D-I experience; Besancon, Solis have turned around programs, been to playoffs a lot; Haas has coached playoff teams, doesn't always have best athletes; Seder the real darkhorse, we know he can kick but what's his coaching background like? Kinda surprised at least one of the local college assts. didn't get an interview, but Woo really appears to be doing its homework on this and Kellar is seemingly leaving no stone unturned. They contacted two successful area coaches who after mulling it over decided to stay put but good if you're a woo fan to know that kind of effort is being put in. I think Woo will get a pretty good coach when all is said and done.
Good list, but my skepticism that these guys can get a hire right based upon merit (versus nepotism) is high. They definitely should've interviewed the C.O.W. assistants for one major reason - that's a potential opportunity for Wooster kids in the future. Don't burn bridges or alienate recruiters. If nothing else you're giving those guys interview experience. Interviewing the three in-house guys is a total waste of time, because none will likely even be retained as assistants or lower level coaches.
Huge career error on Harbour's part, too, in my opinion. If he's happy where he's at, more power to him. His worth will never be higher than it is right now. I guess if he's not smart enough to figure that out, glad to see him off the list.
