Agree with this 100%.

Many in the Wooster community helped to make this thing happen!

News is already moving through the coaching circles pretty fast, and I don't hate any of the names I've heard on Wooster's shortlist. In fact, every name I've heard would be a HUGE step forward.

I want an old school coach who runs a modern offense.

What's an old-school coach? And would that fly in 1) Wooster and 2) in today's society?

I get what you're saying...but old school coaches (Schrock, France, etc) don't run modern offenses most of the time...and I don't think you need a modern offense to be successful.

Hilliard Davidson runs the ball almost exclusively but has been pretty successful over the last decade.

I'd look for a coach who runs a disciplined program on and off the field. Chuck Kyle (Iggy) and Mark Iammarino (Chagrin Falls) are two I'd model a search after.

By old school I did mean a discipline guy. A guy who puts his players interests first on and off the field.

Modern offense...something that can capitalize on Wooster's speed off the corner and vertically.

And yes it would fly over here. The kids in the program know they need direction to be successful.

This could change the entire area football wise. Triway had three Wooster kids in their program this past season.

Not all of them, some would be absorbed by Waynedale and West Holmes.

I know for a 100% fact that Keith Schrock is interested in coaching next year, now that Smithville did him an injustice after winning the league, making the playoffs, and beating the state champions. He is aware of the talent coming at Wooster and I wouldn't be surprised if he applies for the job.

LOL. Schrock did say that he has waited 35 years to play Orrville in one Daily Record article...this would take care of that!

Schrock is a Smithie for life and if he doesn't coach in the land of the green next season, he will not coach anywhere!

I'm just asking.....Now that Smithville "fired" The Godfather....do you think he would take the Wooster job if offered....or do you think he will just retire or move on someplace else.......just want to hear eveybodies thoughts..
