Ohio State could be without tight end Jake Stoneburner for Monday's TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl game against Florida.
Head coach Luke Fickell told reporters that Stoneburner had arthroscopic knee surgery after the season ended and would only be available in a limited capacity if he does play in the bowl.
“He obviously won't be able to play a ton,” Fickell told the media. “He's not in shape to be able to get in there [every down]. But we're still hoping there are some situational things we can use him on.”
Stoneburner has 14 catches for 193 yards and a team-best seven touchdowns this season, though his production in the passing game waned after a strong start to the season.

Today Fickle said the surgery was successful, he couldn't hurt the injury by playing, but was not in game shape. He could make appearances in the game, but wouldn't see considerable playing time.dat dude;1032324 wrote:TE Jake Stoneburner had surgery on his knee a month ago and is likely to not play.

Which is unfortunate, probably could have won 2-3 more games had we utilized him more.Pick6;1033316 wrote:Its not like we use him anyways.

Heading down to the stadium to do a little tailgating. Lot V then the tailgate party at 11am. I will be seated in section 222. Wearing an Ohio State wrestling hoodie.

IMO, other than Miller, Stoneburner will be the biggest beneficiary of Urban's arrivaldwccrew;1033465 wrote:Which is unfortunate, probably could have won 2-3 more games had we utilized him more.

OSU will cruise in their last meaningful game for the next 20 months, if you consider the battle to not have a losing record bowl meaningful.

Just reported on Gameday that the field in Jax is a mess ....it was Tweeted to the players to "be careful, and hope you brought a couple of different pairs of cleats"

Being reported that Fragel is officially being moved to the OL for next season.
Ohio State junior Reid Fragel RT @Fragel88 Stoked for this game, most likely my last at tight end as well. Going out with a bang

These players need to be on point because Urban is looking for reasons to add new talent through recruiting. If you aren't a top 5 player, you'll probably end up transferring to Notre Dame or a SunBelt school.imex99;1034809 wrote:Ty Williams left home for violating teams rules....
