I was mistaken, I thought the game against the Knights was in Week One. I do believe there will be a good turn out for the Knight's game.

Northwestern/Triway?.......
Yes.

For Northwestern, they really need to sure up that pass D. Triway ran a 5 WR set most of the time and picked the cover 2 / 3 apart. We need to make use of the LBs and get them inside for pressure on the QB and line has to push harder. Triway had way too much time to find a receiver on most occasions. Run D was pretty good and not many yards were given up on the ground and they had several TFLs in the run game.

For Offense at NWN, 1st play up the gut for a 70+ yd TD. Came out of a wing back style set with 2 big blockers leading the way. Only time we seen that set all night. Mostly single back with a few I formations thrown in. Seemed to move the ball well on the ground but again had difficulty getting the passing to work. Dropped passes and QB throwing really low were the highlights I took from it.

My hope was NWN would be farther along by now on Offense. Just doesn't seem to working so far. If they get that taken care of, they will have many weapons to open up the field.

Triway looked pretty good in their O sets. Did not really pay attention to their D sets. QB has good range and decent accuracy and running that type of 5 WR set will help them move the ball down the field against many a defense.

^^ Sounds about right. Our D gave up that 1 play (first play) where we stuffed the RB at the line, but he shrugged them and a few LBs off, and ran all the way for a TD. Impressive run, or terrible tackling, or both. Haha. After that, I thought our team did alright for the most part, but continued to give up yards up the middle. Our offense was pretty sharp all night. Our defense needs to get better, though. Dalton will give us a test up front, hopefully preparing us well for West Holmes in week 1.

I did a little research on the Cleveland Knights. Slow day here.

They finished the season in 2011 ranked #8 in the nation for home school football teams, with a record of 2-1-1.

They open this year's season at Claymont. That should be an interesting opener.

Triway will be in for a LONG SEASON if they can't run the ball. Triway weakness by far is lack of linemen. They are good enough to protect the 3 step drop and some quick 5 step/boot action. I know NWN will be good at stopping the run but I honestly don't think I saw Triway get more than a yard or two on the ground. The QB is a good ball player. #22 was a good ball player. I think the game with Waynedale will be quite the game. I may have to attend that one.

If Rittman travels well, it might be a good turn out. After eyeballing the schedule, I noticed the game is away.
The OHSAA has the Cleveland Knights listed as being from Lorain. I wonder where they play their home games?

some damn researcher you are!!!
I'm starting to wonder if "WCM shot drinker" wouldn't be a more fitting signature line.

Paul could have told me that...Being the godfather has made you careless & lazy. I wouldn't be surprised if Miyagi attempted a coup.

BTW....meet me at Sparks Steakhouse in Midtown at 7pm Friday.

After doing some more research the Knights do have home games. couldn't track down a location though, all that is listed is Cleveland, Ohio. Finding out specifics about this team is difficult. Apparently the Knights like to keep things under wraps, ala The Knights Templar.

I would meet you Friday night but am not sure what time I will get back in town, I have a 5:00 appointment in Lancaster. FML

And being fat and lazy comes with the territory.

^^^I hear that.....

You just motivated me to pour out the 44oz Big Gulp, put the 24 pack of Little Debbies back in the cupboard(minus the 11 I already ate), seal up the Funyuns and go for a bike ride.

I'm gone!

Just based on The Big Gulp, Little Debbies and Funyons I thought you had been hitting the bong or something.

Since I have a very difficult time understanding you where football discussions are concerned, I'm inclined to believe the topic of field dressing skunks can only lead to regret on my part.

Please forward this query to Miyagi....it's more his department.

Skinning a Pole Cat is a metaphor for something I cannot go into details about in this family oriented forum.

And no, I have not.

P.S. Sorry for using the root word Orient Mr. Miyagi. I know your people no longer like to be Oriental.

Ok, I think we've all had enough of this preseason talk already! Let's get this show on the road! Everyone will be making some final adjustments in this week as they tune up for their final scrimmage. Where is everybody at this week?
