I hope all goes well with the sponge bath and the bowel movement Miyagi. Maybe you can hit the trifecta. I can't believe people actually just read threads and don't participate. Everyone can add something. Yes, even Paul.

Glad to see Chippewa retain their coach, we saw what can happen when a program fires a legendary coach. My prediction for the 2012 season, Chippewa gets a W.

Look out Rittucky.

Later when I return to a keyboard I will tell my highly entertaining tale of post knee surgery bowel movements. Round up the kids, it's a dandy.

Glad you asked.

In 1996 I had a little clean up on my knee done, removed some cartilidge and bone spurs, having never been through this I foolishly took the advice of my now ex-brother in law. He told me the medicine used to put you under caused him to have terrible constipation, so I should take some laxatives as soon as I got home. I did.

If you have ever taken laxatives when you don't need to take them, you know what can happen. With my knee immobilzed, I found myself hobbling to the bathroom many times over the next couple of days. Again with one leg unable to bend at the knee due to the wrap and brace you are forced to wear getting up and down isn't easy. It was a painful couple of days made more irritating by his little prank.

Anyway, back to football. Other than Smithville playing Loundonville in OOC, are there any other changes to the OOC schedules for WCAL teams?

I'm glad to see they retained Wolf - he seems like a good guy that has a plan - it takes time to climb out of hole the size the chipps are in and switching coaches all the time isn't the answer.

I wish I could rep your ex-brother-in-law for this... I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but it gave me a nice chuckle. :p

Spelling, yes. Grammar still needs some work.

Just checking in and find our leader down, but not according to the nurse. She probable came back at 1:00 with a warm bag of water and a long hose. :D

Hope Miyagi is doing well! Hopefully, now he will be able to join us at functions in the fall.

It is good to see the conversation here has not improved in quality or content. It's a long time till August!

Ringz- reps to your ex brother in law, he clearly knows how to treat inlaws.

GoFalcs- as long as I'm around, quality & content WILL be held to the lowest possible standards:D

Miyagi- enjoy rehab.

Any word on the Smithville job?
If they hire someone in the next week or two, that was the person they wanted all along.

You left out Man U. No series discussion of Euro Trash Footie could be complete without them.

Proper spelling indicates a lack of genetic connection.

Only Divison 1 letters of intent are due today. Lower divisions have a later deadline.

Saw on here earlier that Wallace was going to Ashland, just read in the Times Reporter that Dover's QB Derik Swinderman will also be going to AU, along w/ their DE Tim Lehr.

Who knows?.......

The QB job at Ashland is presently Housewrights.....but after seeing that televised game from Michigan last year....they may be looking at other options.
In all fairness to Housewright....Billy Cundiff was a hard act to follow.

I still think Wallace will end up playing D in a couple years or sooner.

14.....
Were some colleges looking at Lawrence Wolf as a scholarship player?
When it all shakes out....I'll say less than 3 WCAL players from the class of 2012 get football scholarships that cover even half of educational expenses.

I'm not even sure 2 guys will get 50%+ football scholarships-
1. Wallace
2. ?

Realistically, this is a pretty small group. It always is. The WCAL has some nice players year in and year out, but very, very few who are full ride scholarship material.

Paul Kelbly(SMV) & Cody Busson(CHIP) are probably the 2 best shots IMO to get a significant football scholarship.

Notice to all parents...move to Orrville and your kids will get those scholarships:)
