IMO Wallace can be successful at a D2 or 1AA school. How is he in the classroom?

Not so good I was told. D2 yes like Ashland but as far as 1AA depends on how good they are. I see him as tight end or d-end at next level. I would look at Mount also he could play there in a couple years and Ashland. I think that is were he fits. I know mount is looking at 26 and I thought he and 5 were most athletic on field.

The grades definitely help.

But to play LB, DE, or TE at a D2 or 1AA school he better lock himself in the weight room starting tomorrow.

And I am not being critical of him in my last post, just saying he will need to add some size.

He will need to get up to about 245-250 to play TE, DE, LB at the next level.....his frame right now would work at QB, but I don't think many schools are looking at him as a QB, are they?

My understanding is that The D1 interest has started for Wallace. Ashland has been hot after him and Mount is also very interested. I have been told that Mount is definitely interested in Jon Maibach but I also heard he is not a very good student. Harris is a Sophmore and until recently really hasnt been all that impressive. He didnt show much on offense until the playoffs when he started playing regularly. It will be interesting to see what happens with him next year when he's a regular and people start keying on him. He his definitely a raw talent with great upside potential. His defense has been suspect all year. He is not a very physical kid. He actually was the worst of Norwaynes DB's on Saturday. Several of Kentons TD's were scored because of his lack of coverage. He has plenty of time to develop. Jon Zimmerly is a junior and is drawing some interest. He is a beast but only stands 5' 8" I think. It's going to be interesting to see what another year in the weight room turns him into. I hear he's stong as an ox. Brady Berger is an interesting kid. He's about 6' 2" and has plenty of room to put weight on his body. Someone close to his dad told me he weighs around 185 now and has been drawing interest from schools at every level. He actually was invited by and visited BGSU. He also has several small schools talking to him. He's got another year yet and I understand he's going to beef up and work on speed after basketball. It's great to hear about all of these kids drawing college interest

245-250 to play LB or TE, bigger to play DE. My nephew played tackle at a 1AA school and they wanted him to be at least 290-295.

I think Wallace wants to play LB. He has plenty of room on his frame to put on 30-35 lbs

245-250 to play D2 LB?? just looked at Ashlands roster and the biggest kid they have lsited as a LB is not even 240. D 1 LB's at that size, yes, but he doesn't have to be that big to play D2. Most of their LB's are in the 220lb range. Ashland may be a good fit for him as a LB or S/S type kid.

I don't know if I see him as a LB. Did not think he was strong on defense in any game I have seen him play. Foot work needs allot of help change of direction is not good and not much burst. He will fit best in a none speed or athletic position.

I could really see him going to Ashland and making a lot of contributions for the Eagles.

I could see him as D2 or D3 TE at around 230-235lbs. He would understand routes and passing schemes, but I aslo think he could play LB. He is just a football player, period.

Honestly, a lot of colleges look for the talent. I was told by a recruit once that as long as you have the right frame, "[they] can put the weight on you."

:huh:HUH? So all these things that made him such a containment problem at QB, just vanished on def? And his almost team leading tackles was.....what? Stats-padding to help w/that sc-ship? Dude....,make sense!

once again birddog is jealous that his last name is not wallace. it is a shame you come on here and degrade a young man for all the accomplishments he has made this year. give respect when it is earned and mr. wallace has earned respect this year. he can name his position that he wants to play and he will be going bigger than d2 or at least he will have bigger offers for sure! he is not a d3 player ive played d3 been all conference in the OAC and he is better than d3!

Wallace could play in the MAC on either side of the ball.

I agree with this. He could darn near be the team MVP for Akron as a freshman. ;)

i heard wallace wouldnt mind giving QB a try in college. he doesnt always look pretty back there but he gets the job done. I think he would make a decent college quarterback

Tim Tebow usually doesn't look pretty, either. He seems to be doing okay. They seem similar in playing style.

How about him and Monheim as middle linebackers on the same team in the MAC:)

I think that Adam would really be successful at a school like Ashland or Notre Dame college, who has believed in him through this entire process. Close schools, with the same amount of money that he will recieve for a scholarship. Coach Owens at Ashland is a great guy and with their new facilities I think that would be a great fit.

Just heard from a VERY reliable source that Norwayne has had an Alumni step forward and offer the money to have FIELD TURF installed! 1960 Graduate Dwight Schar had already given Norwayne 200k for the track and scoreboard upgrades as well as 800k for the auditorium and school upgrades.....

He flew in to watch the Bobcats win the State title and is offering to get the field turf put in....however it will be up to Norwayne to get the field tile and drainage issues solved and built up prior to his donation.

According to Wiki...the guy is NOT greedy with his money and likes to pass it around....Ashland U may soon be "Dwight Schar U" if he keeps donating there!!!

Chew on that......
