only bad experience i had with them was when i bought a tv from them and it was delivered. everything looked fine until i opened the box and the top of the flat screen was split open like you how you split a log. kinda weird since the box wasnt damaged. then returning it was a pain in the ass because since the store i bought it from didnt have anymore, i couldnt just take it to a store that did, i had to go back to them first, get a receipt then goto the other store nearby.

Please explain further how this works. What app?

I have an iPhone.

People do understand the concept of brick & mortar vs. online retail, right?

This.

You can go to microcenter and get HDMI cables for like 8 bucks.

Yeah, I have a couple of those. People are so misinformed on cables....can't believe people pay what they do.

I don't shop at best buy at all anymore. I may go there to look around or try products out before I buy online. I used to work there also and the mark up on accessories is what they make money on. Computers don't have a mark up. Too bad Fry's isn't in Ohio. They have amazing prices and will price match amazon.

Fry's pisses me off. I see all their deals, but can't ever get them!

Since this turned into a story telling thread I will now go ahead and share mine. I bought a tv wall mount on Amazon for $23 no tax and free shipping and there was a free HDMI cable in the box.

I just read this article and immediately thought of this thread. There is no difference between cheap and expensive HDMI cables.

Absolutely. Which is why I only buy the cheap ones. I got a deal from, I think, 1saleaday.com a couple weeks ago. Got three 6' HDMI cables for $3 shipped.

Also, I think I heard on the news this morning that Best Buy was going to file for bankruptcy or something. I was half asleep so I might be wrong.

Forbes is down on them, might've been what you heard: http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrydownes/2012/01/02/why-best-buy-is-going-out-of-business-gradually/

Eventually electronics will only be able to be purchased from walmart or online. There will be no electronic stores at all. Hopefully an online only electronics market can provide jobs like brick and mortar stores do, but I doubt it
