I don't have many bad things to say about Best Buy anymore...

I bought one of fab4's Xmas gifts there and got a pretty damn good deal. First off, I was going to buy the item at the store, but it was $27 more expensive in the store than it was online. I asked if they would honor the online price and they wouldn't. So I went home and ordered. Received the item on a Tuesday and the following Monday got an email saying they had received my return(I never returned it) and would be issuing a refund. Later that afternoon, I got an email saying my refund had been issued. Went to PayPal(that's how I paid) and there it was. The next day, I received another email saying they were reshipping my item. Got that one 2 days later. So now I have 2 of the items and I ended up paying nothing.

The right thing to do would be to let them know of their error, return one, and pay for the other. Any other course of action is wrong.

GTFO who pays more for 6 feet of cable than for their TV? That cable better make the game pop out of my TV and smack me in the face.

What is it made out of? Pure gold?

For my IT stuff at work, I'll only visit Best Buy if it's something I have to have that day.

It used to be but not anymore. That has since changed. You must have got a Rocketfish cable.

Well as of about 5 months ago when I still worked there, as an employee with my discount I could get a $40 HDMI cable for about $3 and some change. Huge mark-ups on accessories, thats obviously how Best Buy makes their money. Well that and selling their "protection" plans and Geek Squad "services".

No I do not. I have a good friend who is a GM at a store. I have never worked at a retail store.

LOL. Thanks.
I saved a ton of money on a new TV on black Friday and decided to use the extra cash to get the best cable available. At a whopping 3.3 feet in length, this cable is no joke. When all my friends come over to watch football, they always say "WOW what kind of HDMI cable do you have?" I proudly tell them about my audioquest diamond and its advanced features such as its Dark Gray/Black finish. It is a great conversation piece! Not to mention it fits into my dvd player and tv perfectly.

What's great about it: the color
What's not so great: my old HDMI cable

I would recommend this to a friend!

Whenever I go to Best Buy I search for the cheapest online price, print it out and they will match it at the store.

I ordered a ipod touch online at bestbuy.com and went to the store to pick it up. I didn't get a chance to inspect the item nor did I think I had to. Brought it home and found that it was "sealed" with scotch tape. Either Apple has changed the way they seal their products or they gave me someone's returned ipod touch. To say I was a bit pissed when I got home and saw it was an understatement. I am not going to give an opened ipod touch as a gift to someone even if it is for my mother-in-law. Now I get the pleasure of driving 30 minutes both ways to return the product and get a new one. I can't wait to speak to someone at the store about this.

I don't know if that Linksys router is a pos but you speak the truth about that Buffalo router.

I use Monoprice for all of my cables. I picked a 30 foot HDMI cable for my projector and paid about $30 for it.
