Well heck, everyone's a homer then.

I play up the the coach, but I said much of the same about Ramsey when he was around in Dalton. I played there, of course, but that doesn't prevent me from saying Norwayne is a better overall team, that Smithville was the least equipped in terms of talent of the three co-champs.

Also, as I recall, the first person I ever heard call Schrock the Godfather was a Triway guy. ;)

Mr Miyagi;993025 wrote:Lets just say this....Norwayne is playing fantastic football right NOW......they had some miscues in the Smithville game -dropped TD pass- Wallace fumble on final drive, correct Miyagi if he is wrong but didnt he lose his footing on that play and fumble, not because of a hit ? And coaches did not make any adjustments at halftime, don't think they were prepared because this was the first time they had to deal with a close game..............but if Norwayne plays like they did last Fri against the Johnnys it doesn't matter what kind of field they are playing on, they beat Smithville.they are just playing that good of ball right now
Steiner knocked the ball out, wallace was carrying the ball away from his body, when Steiner went to wrap him up he hit the ball. Also a very heads up play by Wiley who slid in front of a Norwayne player to recover the ball.

More of a speed bump on 585 where the cops hate everyone, but calling it the Emerald Speedbump would seem even sillier.

Fair enough, and painfully accurate.

On another note....how many own the book "A History of Wayne County Football 1899 to 1988"? I got this book when it was released, There is alot of interesting reading there and I have wondered if the will ever be an "edited" edition or a follow up for the last 20+ years? Thoughts?

Congrats to Smithville for beating Norwayne in week 9. Since you are not playing for a state title this week and Norwayne is, it would be great if you would come support. Hope to see you there.

Been to 3 of their 4 games so far! You bet your (butt) I'm showing up! When playoffs start, it's about the conference, and I'll be there with the rwzt of the WCAL brethren to cheer on one of the best teams in WCAL history. Just saw on the other thread that this Norwayne team is already 8th all-time in points scored in a season! That is TREMENDOUS!
